This recipe is great! I always make this one for pot lucks or football game days. Our friends always request these, and they're gone in a flash. I also use maple flavored bacon, which makes them even more "mapley". Really good!

I make these for parties. It is always the first thing to be eaten. Everybody LOVES them! I use maple flavored bacon and way more brown sugar that any recipe should have in it, but they are so sweet and yummy!

A sweet cured meat bullet to the face. Strong sweet and spicy flavors. Definitely make the sauce recipe that goes with these. I shook cayenne on top of them and that was awesome. Easy recipe and easy to alter. I pressed both sides of bacon in brown sugar as prep.

This is one of the best party recipes ever! I've never baked them though-just toothpick them and toss them in the crock pot for around 3 hours. The bacon comes out nice and chewy and they are drenched in the sugar glaze. I have brought them to many parties but never brought any back home!

I have made these for a couple different events.... and they are a HIT! Make sure you use a cheap disposable pan from the store. I ruined one of my pans the first time I made these.

Such an easy recipe, but absolutely the easiest dish I've ever taken to a potluck. Had so many compliments on this dish and requests for the recipe. Almost hate to admit how simple the recipe is. This is a dish kids and adults both love. I did cook longer so the brown sugar would melt, but if you cook too long it turns into a hard tough inedible coating so watch very carefully if you are cooking longer than the recommended time.

These were a HUGE hit! I made mine a couple of different ways. I did two skewers of Lil' Smokies and the rest I didn't skewer or toothpick at all. I found that cutting the bacon slices into fourths worked best and that the bacon wrapped tightly around the smokies tended to stay put without toothpicks. I coated both the bacon AND the smokies with brown sugar before wrapping them. I'd definitely recommend turning them halfway through cooking, or broiling them on each side quickly to get them to crisp up nicely. The crispy bacon and carmelized sugar helps hold everything together and keeps them from being quite so messy. I'll definitely be making these again when we have guests, and I will serve with a honey mustard sauce and a tangy BBQ sauce for dipping, though they're excellent alone.

I used turkey bacon, and used a toothpick (2 to each one). I also cooked the smokies for about 10 min. longer and flipped them 1/2 way through, I like crispy bacon. I cannot believe how easy and good these were. I will definitely make these again. Thanks!

We LOVE these! They are SO, SO easy to make, and they taste spectacular. They are heavy on the sugar, however...so stay away from them if you are trying to watch the pounds!
