This is delicious! I agree with other posters, you should put the ketchup and brown sugar on top. I also added some cheese to the middle of the meatloaf, I make it on a regular basis. I definetly recommend this recipe!

I enjoyed this recipe, but my kids didn't care for it. I followed the recipe except for putting the brown sugar/ketchup glaze on top instead of the bottom.

Outstanding recipe. I did make changes the second time I made this. I omitted the salt as the saltine cracker crumbs had plenty of salt. I added 1/4 cup Old Fashioned Oats ( uncooked ) and only 1/2 cup saltines. I added 2 TBSP of finely chopped green pepper and reduced the milk to 1/2. I put the ketchup and brown sugar on top along with some thinly sliced onion. The most heavenly aroma filled the house while this was baking. Thank you tangastar for sharing this recipe.

This was my first attempt at meatloaf and it will be my go-to recipe from now on. My super picky 6yr old son loved it and i loved being able to give him something tasty, easy and different! Thanks!

I almost followed this to the T, other then I added mustard and wisch. sauce to the topping- Which i put on top of the meatloaf. I added fresh garlic & peppers to my loaf, decreased the milk by half, I used ritz crackers and it come out YUMMY- there was no left overs! So now im throwing out my old recipe! the texture on this meat loaf is perfect! thank you for adding this recipe!

This was amazing - everyone was looking for more! I made some adjustments too. Actually H2OSMILES review was terrific. The only thing is I used half seasoned bread crumbs and half potato bread cubed w/o crusts. I sauteed garlic and onion in EVOO and then added it to meat mix. I mixed brown sugar, ketchup and worchester sauce together and put in bottom of muffin pan, meat mix, ketchup mix on top and topped that with those crispy onions. I also used 92% lean ground beef so there wasn't much grease. Put muffin pan on top of tray and baked for 1/2 hr. OMG, so so good!

This is an awesome meatloaf. Even my picky husband loved this one... I exchanged regular brown sugar with brown sugar Splenda because we have to watch his sugar intake.
