My meatloaf kind of fell apart...may have been something I missed. I love onions but also agree with the previous reviewer that a whole onion is too much. I like the sauce added to it.

Best meatloaf ever! A few changes.. Don't put the sauce on the bottom. Save it as a glaze for the top. Then place it back into the oven to carmelize. Extra Yummy! Also, make sure to cut the onions small or use the onion soup mix. Other than that... You will have rave reviews. I will only use this one from now on.

If I can make a meatloaf and have the "I don't like meat" husband wanting seconds and thirds -- it's a winner. Absolutely delicious! I know some folks didn't enjoy the meatloaf roasting in it's own juices, but when the juices mix with the ketchup and brown sugar - it is absolutely amazing on top of the meatloaf and mashed potatoes! Yum! The only changes I made -- I added a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and I sauteed 3 cloves of garlic with the onion before adding to the meat mixture. Absolutely fabulous!

Love this meatloaf!! I don't put the sugar on the bottom of the pan -- I just use it in the mixture for the topping!! Also, I use bread crumbs -- for simplicity! Very good!!

The only things I changed in this recipe was the amount of onion (a whole onion seemed a bit much to me) and instead of saltine crackers I used bread crumbs. It was really out-of-this-world good! I've never had much success with meatloaf - I can never get it done in the middle and then wind up baking it for too long as I try. So for this one, I scooped a little sauce in the bottom of my muffin pans and put the meatloaf mixture in that to bake. I was concerned about the grease not draining out, so I formed little "wells" in the middle of the meat and scooped the grease out when it was done. It took about 30 minutes to bake; I took them out and put more sauce on top for the last few minutes. Everyone loved the result!

Pretty good..not much different than the traditional meatloaf that I usually make. Thought the brown sugar and ketchup mixture would make it different, but since it's only on the top, it didn't go with every bite.

For all the vegetarians out there- I have only used this recipe with soy ground meat (Tivol) and it always comes out delicious. However, I also spread the brown sugar and ketchup mixture on the top and not at the bottom.

Easy to make and really yummy. i put in half of a cauliflower (puree)in with the ground beef and 1/2 cup of milk. there were lots of liquids at the end so next time i might not put in the milk. it was really moist. great way to hid some veggies for my family

amazing. however, LINE THE PAN with non-stick foil or your going to have to wash the pan multiple times (can't stress this enough)..also definitely add the worcestershire sauce to glaze and meat; i put bacon on top, and no salt needed...

I thought this was just too sweet. The meat was okay but it wasn't 'perfect' meatloaf that I have been searching for. Others on this site are better but it wasn't terrible.

Meatloaf was very moist, but not big on flavor other than the glaze, which I thought was a bit too ketchupy. Would make again but with modifications.

I loved this meat loaf recipe! Simple to follow and do. As recommended in the reviews below I too reduced the amount of milk to 1/2 cup, only used 1/4 cup brown sugar (next time I will use a little more); and added worcestershire sauce 1 T. In addition, I whisked together the ketchup, brown sugar and worcestershire sauce to make a glaze and poured it on top of the meatloaf prior to cooking. I also drained the grease about every 15 minutes. This meat loaf was juicy and the sweet top made the perfect combination. THANKS!

This was a big hit with both my husband and I. I used onion soup mix instead of the onion and accidentally forgot to add the milk and ginger. It still turned out terrific. I did try a tip I saw and added two toasted pieces of bread to the bottom of the loaf dish. This worked wonders in sucking up the extra greese. I also added the brown sugar sauce to the top of the meatloaf rather than the bottom of the dish.

My husband and kid loved it. I made some changes though...1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp of Worcestechire, and spicy ketchup for the topping. Then 1/2 cup milk, 3/4 italian style breadcrumbs instead of crackers, 1 egg, and I also sauteed an onion and some garlic and let it cool before putting it in with the rest of the ingredients.
