This is the best meatloaf I've ever made. I used 1/2 cup of milk and 1 egg. Also added 2 cloves minced garlic. I used 1/4 cup brown sugar and added a tbs of worcestershire to glaze. I also used glaze on tope instead of the bottom.

This dish is currently in the oven.I'll tell you that I converted the recipe to make 4 servings.I also added a tbs of Worcestershire and a pinch of garlic and I used bread crumbs instead of saltines.I'll come back on later and write a second review. But it looked good going in.

My family was very skeptical at first because they already liked the meatloaf recipe my mom uses but they seemed to enjoy this version as well. They all agreed to four stars and they never agree on a rating. This is definitely my new favorite meatloaf recipe!

This recipe was "ok". We did not care for the super-sweet topping at all. It was almost like a dessert rather than a meatloaf. Even with the prepared mustard it was still too sweet and I only used 1/4 cup sugar. I normally just use a plain ketchup topping. Ketchup has quite a bit of sugar in it already so I reduced the br. sugar. Altho it was too sweet, it *will get eaten! :) Hubby, sweetheart that he is, will eat practically anything that I cook (other than peas and squash) and he always compliments how "good" it is....no matter what...(grin) but after all these yrs I know when he *really likes it...vs when he's just being nice. I do not think we'll be using this one again but thanks for the new experience! Oh, I had left out the ginger because I've never even bought ginger...but otherwise I followed directions as written except for using less sugar.

This has become our house recipe for meatloaf. I cut the sugar as recommended, but otherwise, I follow the recipe. It's great!

This recipe was okay, but I've been making the Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf (found on this site) for years, and that one is much better. Like others, I added the sauce to the top of the loaf, rather than the bottom. It was definitely moist, but maybe a little too much so. I think I'll stick with the other, superior recipe from now on.

I've made this many times and it's been delicious. The last time I made it, I didn't have enough ketchup, so I used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce...that was some good eating(I put the b.sug and bbq sauce on top). I also added W sauce like others suggested and I use quick oats instead of crackers...yummy! Thanks for the recipe.

My whole family loves this including myself and I'm not a big meat eater. I do change a couple things. I only use ground turkey meat. Also, I use a combination of crackers, oats, and/or bread crumbs (whatever I happen to have or feel like), and increase it to 1 cup. Delicious!

Added 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp worchestershire, reduced milk to 1/2 c. Reduced the ketchup and brn sugar to 1/4 c for the glaze. We have done it with bread crumbs as well as cracker and prefer the cracker. To soak up the grease/juices, put slices of bread on the bottom of the pan (cut/tear to fit), then add meat mixture on top. We put the glaze on the top. Yummy! Very good recipe that appeals to all 5 of my children.

I give this 4 stars! I loved it, my two yr old loved it and my husband! It was so easy to make. The only thing i changed was putting the brown sugar and ketchup on the top of the meatloaf, and also cooked it in a deep pan instead of a loaf. but shapped it into a loaf and cooked it, it held its shape. and turned out beautiful! Definitly will be making this again. :-) Thank you

The flavor of the meatloaf was awesome, but i almost gave it 3 stars because it was just so oily. Maybe i did something wrong (this was my first attempt ever at meatloaf). Instead of using one big loaf pan, I used two smaller ones. The oil that collected on top of the loaves was just... kind of gross, it was A LOT. But maybe that's normal? Anyway thanks for a great tasting recipe.

Fast became a staple in our house, and my kids don't eat meatloaf! It's the most requested meal in the house. I poured through the reviews and made a few adjustments based on what I read: To the meatloaf mixture, I added 2 cloves of minced garlic, a tbsp of worcestershire sauce, used 1/2 cup of milk instead of 3/4, and I used bread crumbs instead of cracker. To the glaze: I added 1 tbsp of worcestershire, and reduced the ketchup and brown sugar to 1/4 cup. I did not like the glaze at the bottom of the loaf. My pan has drain holes at the bottom, and it made a mess. Using a regular loaf pan, the bottom comes out mushy. To get around a spill over, I took a spatula and made a small "ditch" between the pan and the loaf, and spread the glaze over the top and into the ditch. That works wonderfully, and the glaze is always perfect. Definitely a keeper in the recipe box!

This recipe was excellent. I followed some of the helpful suggestions and put part of the ketchup and brown sugar on top and added Worcestershire sauce. Otherwise, I followed the recipe to the letter. Very good.

My husband has asked for meatloaf over and over and I have never made it, found this recipe and it was great! He wiped his plate clean! A little bit salty for me, next time I will not put as much salt as the recipe calls for, used 1/4 cp brown sugar, 1/2 cp ketchup and a little worcestershire sauce for the glaze and put it on top (last 15 min. as suggested by another reviewer). Also used only 1/2 cp milk like the other reviews. It was wonderful, Thanks!

The meatloaf is very good. But it took much longer than one hour to get done. It is to much meat for a 9x5 loaf pan. Next time I will use a larger pan. I put the catsup and brown sugar on the top. That is a very good touch.

Made it just its listing and this meat loaf is to die for. Its like eating candy meat, maybe two things that shouldn't be combined for health reasons, but wow when they are put together they taste great.

A great meatloaf recipe. I made the following modifications: only used 1/4 cup of brown sugar. added 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to the ketchup/brown sugar mix. used 1/2 cup of milk and 1 egg. add 2 cloves of garlic to the meat mixture. used a cup of season bread crumbs instead of the crackers.
