Great shortbread. Wow. Masa is wonderful in these. I never got to making the glaze. We like them just as they are out of the oven.
The texture is great - a tender, buttery shortbread - but I really didn't care for the masa taste in these cookies. My 4-year-old loved them, though. Also, the instruction to flatten the (1-inch) balls of dough to 1-1/2 inches high didn't make sense - it should probably say flatten to 1-1/2 inches in diameter instead.
