eggs, lightly beaten
lean ground beef
regular or instant rolled oats
finely chopped onion
Love this recipe! Nice tangy flavor. I baked it in cupcake pans instead of loaf pan and it turned out great. I wanted a recipe that was gluten free and I found it!
Recipes by Clorox? Whoda thunk? I have to say that although there was nothing wrong with this one, we didn't care for the texture that oatmeal imparts. It reminded me of school cafeteria meatloaf and that was not a good thing. I think I'll stick to a breadcrumb based meatloaf. :o)
This is the recipe I've used for 50 years. I do add a little garlic powder [ 1 tsp. or to taste ] and mushrooms. This is a great basic.
I made this meatloaf for my family and they loved it. This is a winner for sure. It also makes great leftoevers
Its a great recipe the first time I made it I used 1 cup panko Italian seasoned breadcrumbs instead of the rolled oats and it was perfect. The whole family loved it!
This was pretty good, but I think it was calling out for a little seasoning. Next time, perhaps, some garlic, basil, oregano, whatever. Even allowing time for it to sit after it came out of the oven, it crumbled when slicing, so I have to wonder if more oats are needed. Don't mean to be too critical because we did like it, the glaze was delish, and leftovers will make incredible sandwiches. Will be making again.
I've made this twice now. I do substitute the oats for bread crumbs as it suits my families taste better. But what a hit!
I traded the oatmeal for breadcrumbs and added and equal amount of BBQ sauce to the topping. It came out great.!!
