I really liked this recipe, and it is easy to modify to what you like. I changed the salsa for BBQ sauce and ketsup, and added bacon....It was declicous!

These turned out wonderful, the best from all the way scratch beans I have ever attempted. Zippy and sweet. I just guessed and did not add all the spice and sugar amounts to the letter, but made it easier on me and all the combos made them really great.

Interesting combination of ingredients, but too sweet for my taste. Also pretty bland, but I did use mild salsa and left out the cayenne.

Very good and so easy! I fed it to a family from Kenya and all 3 kids could not get enough. Thank you for the recipe. No alterations needed (unless you could a dollop of sour cream on top).

This was my first attempt at using pinto beans. I soaked them overnight first, then followed the directions in the recipe.I did add a little of the liquid the beans were boiled in to the casserole, then I baked it about an hour, taking the lid off for the last 30 minutes to thicken it up a little. It was pretty good. Pinto beans are a little different in texture to the white beans we are accustomed to using.
