Brown Bread Ice Cream

By: Jodi
"This is my Grandfather's recipe. The name doesn't sound too appealing, but it is the best ever. This recipe contains raw eggs. We recommend that pregnant women, young children, the elderly and the infirm do not consume raw eggs."

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups wheat and barley nugget cereal (e.g. Grapenuts TM)
  • 3 cups milk

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 pint half-and-half cream

Directions

  1. Place cereal in a bowl and pour in enough milk to cover (1/2 to 1 cup); set aside. Grandpa B's recipe is the best! We like to use pasturized egg product instead of raw eggs. MORE
