Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups Swanson® Chicken Broth (regular, Natural Goodness™ or Certified Organic)
  • 3/4 cup uncooked regular long-grain white rice

Directions

  1. Heat the broth in a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil.
  2. Stir in the rice. Reduce the heat to low. Cover the saucepan and cook for 20 minutes or until the rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

  • Easy Substitution Tip: Substitute Swanson® Beef or Vegetable or Seasoned Broths for the Chicken Broth.
  • Florentine Simmered Rice: Add 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning to broth. Add 1 cup chopped spinach with rice. Stir in 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese before serving. Serve with additional cheese.
