A real hit - I halved the recipe (for two of us, and there were still leftovers). After reading the reviews I did reduce the red pepper flakes, and used panko crumbs for the bread crumbs. I mixed the penne and sauce together, and sliced the chicken laying it over the top of the pasta. As an added touch, I grated fresh parmesan over the dish before serving.

Great! I followed other reviewers' suggestions and used only one egg and one cup of breadcrumbs, and that was more than enough. I couldn't find canned diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil so I used canned diced tomatoes with oregano, basil, and garlic. I also added a little oregano to the sauce to give it a little more Italian flavor. Definitely a little spicy, but my boyfriend loved it and I was able to handle the heat. Made for great leftovers, too! This took me well over an hour to make, but it was worth it. I will definitely be making this again!

EXCELLENT!!!!! It's now on my top 10 - my husband and two boys loved it - I kept the penne on the side since I made plenty for leftovers! Thanks for sharing!

this recipe is really good, perfect how it is written, & easily adjustable to personal taste (even vegatarian). this time, since i didnt have any breadcrumbs i just cubed the chicken tenders and seasoned with garlic pepper and browned in some olive oil. i also added a bit of oregano and italian seasoning. either way it turns out awesome.

This was a little too spicey for my liking so I will add less crushed red pepper flakes next time. But other than that it was great! The chicken was very tasty and juicey as well, I served it on top of the pasta instead of mixed in with the sauce because I wanted the bread crumbs to remain intact and crispy. Delicious!!!

This was really good. I was looking for something different to serve with the ingredients I had on hand and found this. Since I didn't have chicken tenders, I simply cut 2 skinless chicken breasts into strips, breaded them and fried them up. (I had way more chicken than I needed.) I did season my bread crumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and some italian seasoning. I think I just found a new chicken finger recipe! My daughter loved it!

pretty easy and good!! i only changed a few things...i cut the chicken into pieces before breading to save on time and mess...i think that it needs more flavor...so the next time i will add some other itailian seasonings...this is a keeper...i am having the left overs for lunch!

My sauce turned out somewhat tart, but I am attributing that to the tomato sauce I used. Next time I will taste the sauce and add a pinch of sugar if it is needed. The breading on the chicken is absolutely to die for. I used chicken tenders, and instead of cooking them in oil on the stove top, I baked them at 350 for about 16 minutes (be careful not to overcook!). This way they don't pick up all the fat, but they are still tender and moist. A really great dish!

I felt like I was eating a dish right out of the Olive Garden (my favorite restaurant). I did add a few shakes of Italian Seasoning, oregano, and basil and even a bay leaf until it tasted the way I like it. I will definitely use this recipe again and I think I will bread the chicken in italian bread crumbs next time.

This was a very good recipe, but like everyone else I had some changes: I used egg whites mixed with a little water instead of whole eggs for breading the chicken - just to cut some calories. And since I don't like the taste of canned diced tomatoes, I used 1.5 lbs. of sliced roma tomatoes instead. The taste of the basil really made this recipe excellent. I suggested to my family that we just grill the chicken next time and toss it in, but everyone really liked the breaded chicken. I will definetely be making this again!
