INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (3 ounce) package lime flavored gelatin mix
  • 1 (3 ounce) package orange flavored gelatin mix
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cherry flavored gelatin mix
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1 (3 ounce) package lemon flavored gelatin mix
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 (1.3 ounce) envelope whipped topping mix

DIRECTIONS

  1. Prepare lime, orange and cherry flavored gelatins separately, according to package directions, using 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water for each. Pour each into a separate 8x8-inch pan. Refrigerate until firm.
  2. In medium bowl, combine lemon gelatin, sugar and remaining 1 cup boiling water. Stir until gelatin and sugar are dissolved. Stir in pineapple juice and chill in refrigerator until slightly thickened.
  3. Cut firm gelatin into 1/2-inch cubes. Prepare whipped topping according to package directions. In a large bowl, combine whipped topping with lemon, pineapple juice mixture. Fold in cubed gelatin and pour into mold. Chill 5 hours or overnight before serving.

VERY easy and tasted great, although it does take a little time since you have to wait for the jello to set. I think this would probably be easy for kids if you used cool whip in place of the packet of dream whip.

I made this for a family reunion and everyone was very intrigued with it's wonderful appearance. I have diabetics in the family, so I simply substituted the gelatin for sugar-free gelatins. I also changed some of the flavors, but stuck to the color scheme. This is very easy to make.

Everyone loves this, even those who don't usually like Jello.
