I made this for my mom for Christmas...her grandmother used to make it way back when. My mom loved it - not only because of the memories, but she said it tasted great. (While I'm sure her grandma didn't use Cool Whip, she said it was the same as she remembered!) This was a pretty easy recipe - made it as written - and it was yummy. I would definitely make it again!

I made this for Thanksgiving and it was a hit. I remember my mom making it when I was a little girl in her Angle Food cake pan. There was never any left then either!!

I wanted to make it for Christmas and decided to do a practice run now, and I am so glad I did. Not only was this THE BIGGEST pain to make, it didn't really taste that good. And it certainly didn't come out as well as the picture showed. To all others that want to give this a shot, know that patience and creativity are needed for this one.

i used to make this with my mother many years ago, but it was in a tube pan... it was beautiful... does anyone remember how to remove it from the pan? everyone loves this during the holiday season. it is festive and light and delicious
