Broiled Red Potatoes
SUBMITTED BY:
Mary Favatella Becker
"MU HUSBAND is a typical 'meat and potatoes' man. Tired of the usual mashed or baked potato treatment, I began to experiment in the kitchen, and this recipe is the result. Potatoes prepared this way go well with an omelet for breakfast or a steak for dinner. -Mary Favatella Becker, Mohnton, Pennsylvania"

The six picky kids at my house all ate this AND LOVED IT!!! They do not care for potatoes to much, but I added a little garlic salt, and they gobbled them up. They are similar to chips with less crunch. You will enjoy this recipe. Simple enough for the kids, with enough flavor for the adults.

Sooooo delicious! I love red skinned potatoes and thought that this was an excellent way of preparing them. I broiled them until they were a bit crisp but not crunchy and they were perfect on my chicken salad! Kudos to the cook :-)

My family ate every bite to these potatoes. If you followed the formula for cooking, you could add any spices you wanted. A great fast way to add potatoes to any meal.

Hubby said to give it 4 stars and I agree with him. Great taste with very little prep time. Our grand children will probably love this recipe with ranch dressing to dip them in. Thanks for the recipe.

These were good. I used Russet potatoes and cut them into wedges instead, as another reviewer suggested. They weren't as crispy as I would have liked, but I'm sure if I had a little more patience to leave them in the oven longer, then they would have been. Even so, they were really good. 4 stars for flavor and 5 stars for being so easy!

Such a simple recipe, yet so good! I took the recommendation of another poster and substituted garlic salt, plus I threw in a bit of chopped fresh dill which complimented the Worcestershire quite nicely. Another keeper!!!

this has become a weekly request at my dinner table. my husband and i agree that its the best potato recipe-- much more interesting than a baked potato and much more healthy than french fries. i use a lot of extra salt and i also sometimes cut them in wedges because we like the crispy edges and soft insides. thanks for this recipe!

I LOVE these potatoes! This is an excellent recipe - the only thing I added was a little bit of garlic salt. Also, try to make slices even and slightly thick - thin edges get burnt under the broiler. Again, VERY tasty!
