This was really good. My whole family loved it! My dad was in town and he ate it late night, cold, with italian dressing on it. He loved it! Thanks for posting

This had excellent flavour, and was easy to make. I sauted the sausage with a dash of chilli oil, and caramelised onions, and garlic paste; boiled penne pasta, adding frozen peas for the final 2 minutes. I added the pasta and peas to the pan, with sesame seeds and parmesan, and stirred to mix evenly. I served with parmesan and freshly grated black pepper.

This is a great recipe. I used a hot italian sausage, casing removed, and did not add the additional red pepper flakes as the sausage was very spicy itself. I also used fresh broccoli. This is a wonderful, quick, weeknight meal!

I am a big fan of Italian sausage, and this had a lot of great flavor from the garlic and sausage, but we didn't care for the broccoli in this dish. Will probably not make again.

This is one of our favorites. I add a chopped onion and two cans of diced tomatoes. It is good cold, too!

This is a great recipe! I am an organic gardener and had a bumper crop of broccoli to use. When searching for a different way to use broccoli, I chose this recipe to try - they say variety is the spice of life! I added the fresh broccoli at the end of the pasta cooking time as per instructions but only for about one minute to turn the broccoli bright green. I did add one can of fire roasted diced tomatoes and cut back a tad on the olive oil. I also made this using old-fashioned smoked link sausage, cutting the sausage in thin rounds and browning the sausage to render all the fat (discard fat), This change also makes a very good dish. I have used several different pasta shapes to use what was in the pantry with equal success. Try this - I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

love it! Tasted great and was easy. I omitted the red pepper flakes (boyfriend hates spicy food). Instead of frozen, I used fresh broccoli, parboiling it for five minutes before adding it to the pasta.

This was excellent! This made about 7 pretty big servings our way. We did a few things differently: we used turkey sausage instead of pork (which we sauteed and crumbled), we used 1 lb 3 oz of fresh broccoli instead of frozen, we only used a little more than 1/4 c of olive oil to save cals, and 14.5 oz of penne pasta (dried), and we also added about 1/2 jar of sundried tomatoes packed in oil. I think this would be just as good without the tomatoes. Will definitely make this again! Oh, and be sure to use a good quality olive oil since it is the sauce. :)

This is so tasty! This is a really fast and easy recipe for a weeknight meal. Only changes - I used 6 cloves of garlic since we really like the garlic. I also used turkey sausage in place of regular pork.

A favorite pasta dish. I follow it pretty much exactly, except i use turkey sausage and saute some onion with the garlic. It is a wonderful and very lite tasting pasta dish. In other words, its great with out having to be smothered in sauce.

I found this recipe here a few years ago & it's one I always come back to. It's easy, quick, good, and it always makes enough for left overs. I've passed this recipe onto friends and family and have received raves. I highly recommend

This recipe has a great flavor and is super easy to make. The only thing is sometimes the olive oil can become a little overpowering and feel greasy after your 3rd serving...lol

Delicious! I added an onion with the garlic and then added half a package of chopped frozen broccoli and sauteed with them. Then I added half a package of Tyson Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast and added 4 links of italian sausage (that I had precooked in the same pan and then sliced). Then I added a little more extra virgin olive oil, a couple pinches of dried oregano, and a few splashes (maybe about 1/2 cup) of evaporated milk. Finished at the end with parmesan cheese folded in. My husband said it was very good and tasted like we were at a restaurant. Will definitely make this for company since it is easy AND delicious.

I bbq'd a spicy italian chicken sausage then added it to mushrooms cooked in the garlic and oil. I added the pasta, broccoli and about 1/2 cup of the pasta water to the sausage and mushrooms with about 1/2 cup of parmasan cheese. it was ok but it needed something else. I would probably make it again if I used other suggestions of also adding a cream base or alfredo sauce.

This is a regular dish at our house! I just buy whatever curly pasta I can find and add a little bit of heavy cream to the garlic/oil mixture and it is excellent! Thanks for the recipe!!

This was a pretty yummy change of pace. I did modify it some. I cut up the sausage (mild italian) and cooked it in the pan adding some olive oil, minced garlic, chopped mushrooms and some grape tomatoes cut in half. Once it was all cooked I added frozen broccoli spears and auteed them also adding on the pepper flakes, which I reduced. I used cavatappi and added it to the pan and mixed it together also adding some of the pasta water to keep it from being dry. I also added more than 2 TBSP's of parmesan. Was very tasty and wasn't to greasy or dry. Will probably make again.
