I found this recipie to be a little bland. I would suggest cooking your rice in a cream of mushroom or broccoli soup to add some much needed flavor. This recipie was not a big hit with me, but my boyfriend said her really liked it.

I deleted celery salt in favour of regular salt and pepper and I added a tablespoon of margarine to make mixing easier. I used 1 cup grated tasty cheese and 1/3 cup grated parmesan. I also used fresh broccoli (steamed for 6 minutes in the microwave steamer) and my electric rice cooker to cook the rice to perfection. An easy side dish for any night of the week!

This is a good "help, I need a quick dinner!" sort of meal, but not something I'd ever use for guests. I made a couple of changes based on the previous reviewer, and I think they helped. I used 4 cups of pre-cooked wild rice, 1 can of 98% fat free cream of chicken soup, 8 ounces of velveeta cheese, and the broccoli. Mixed it all together, heated it up, added the steamed broccoli, and served it. Start to finish it took about 25 minutes. So if you're in a big hurry (and especially if you already have cooked rice to use up), this is a pretty decent meal.

i tried this recipe as is, very bland and lack luster. the second time i tried, i added a can of cream of mushroom soup - it made all the difference in the world. i would suggest also using cream of chicken (i can't because i gave up meat - but im sure it would add a lot of flavor). i also added salt, pepper and minced garlic. very yummy after all the additions.
