We really enjoyed this but I added red pepper flakes for a little extra flavor. I also added a little extra butter (just a little),mushrooms, shrimp and broccoli. It seem to me like the recipe as is has too much pasta and too little shrimp & veggies. You could probably substitute other veggies besides broccoli and mushrooms if you had something else on hand.

Okay, but the recipe is kind of bland as it is written (hence all the reviewer revisions). It is quick and easy and kid-friendly.

I read several reviews and used all of the advice. My compliments to all. I shelled and deveined the shrimp, then marinated them in 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1/2 cup white wine. Steamed the broccoli 2 minutes in the microwave. Doubled the amount of olive oil and butter and sauted 1/2 cup onions with garlic for about 4 minutes, then added 2 chopped Roma tomatoes, salt and red pepper flakes (to taste)and sauted another 4 minutes. Added the steamed broccoli and the shrimp with marinade and sauted 2 minutes. Tossed with pasta and passed the parmesan. A baguette and the rest of the wine completed dinner. Will definitely do this again.

Excellent, but can see how it would be too dry if I did not add liquid. I added about 3/4 cup of chicken broth (did not have white wine as suggested) and a couple tbls of lemon juice. Also cut grape tomatoes in half and added. I steamed the frozen broccoli first then added it to the onion/garlic mix. Added the shrimp and let it cook a few mins then added the liquids and toms. Delicious. Next time I will make even more sauce to really wet the spaghetti. My 2 boys (3 1/2 and 2 years old) loved it.

Great recipe. I added white white and half and half, oh my goodness, my husband and mother-in-law raved about it. Great simple recipe with a lot of flavor.

The flavor was really excellent, but I used penne pasta was I think spaghetti would have been better. I added the tomatoes, mushrooms and more garlic with the white wine, so the sauce had a good flavor but the raw broccoli took no time to cook so I will add it at the same time as the shrimp so it doesn't over cook. I do cut my broccoli into tiny sprouts so it takes no time to cook. I'll definitely cook this again.

This was pretty good! I used linguini, added mushrooms and then covered everything with a wine sauce. Tasty! :)

I made this dish last night and it turned out really good. I used frozen shrimp. At the end I also sprinnkled on a little all purpose Italian seasoning. Tasted great. Will make again.

Really really good! We make this all of the time. I highly recommend using the bow tie pasta, it totally made a difference to us. (We tried a few other types of pastas.) This is a very light pasta dish, if you want something heavier, perhaps try something like alfredo sauce instead. This is good if you're hungry and want something healthy and light!

My husband and I enjoyed it. I added heavy whipping cream because I didn't have half and half. Also, the shrim and broccoli were frozen. I probably should have added more cheese to the sauce to thicken it up a little better, but it was good nonetheless.

Made this quick and easy dish and was enjoyed by all. I added some fresh squeezed lemon juice after letting the shrimp turn pink. Also thru in some crushed chille peppers for spice. I used grapeseed oil too make the garlic and onion mix more fragrant and added 1 cup of portabello mushrooms for some added colour. This was a great way to cook up some prawns and pasta!

At first, I tried the pasta and thought it was a bit too bland, but the broccoli and shrimp are full of flavor. With the pasta, it's a nice balance. I added a little extra parmesan to mine. This is my new favorite way to eat broccoli. What an easy dish to prepare.

Very light and delicious! I too steamed the broccoli, but just a few minutes so that it stayed crunchy. I bought pre-cooked shrimp and browned them very lightly in the olive oil, butter & garlic.

This recipe was quick and easy, but rather dry and bland. I added more olive oil than it called for and doubled the parmesean cheese for flavor. Both my husband and I agreed it would have been better with some kind of sauce. Next time, I'd follow the suggestions to add wine, cream and maybe some halved cherry tomatoes.
