My husband and I enjoyed it. I added heavy whipping cream because I didn't have half and half. Also, the shrim and broccoli were frozen. I probably should have added more cheese to the sauce to thicken it up a little better, but it was good nonetheless.

Made this quick and easy dish and was enjoyed by all. I added some fresh squeezed lemon juice after letting the shrimp turn pink. Also thru in some crushed chille peppers for spice. I used grapeseed oil too make the garlic and onion mix more fragrant and added 1 cup of portabello mushrooms for some added colour. This was a great way to cook up some prawns and pasta!

At first, I tried the pasta and thought it was a bit too bland, but the broccoli and shrimp are full of flavor. With the pasta, it's a nice balance. I added a little extra parmesan to mine. This is my new favorite way to eat broccoli. What an easy dish to prepare.

Very light and delicious! I too steamed the broccoli, but just a few minutes so that it stayed crunchy. I bought pre-cooked shrimp and browned them very lightly in the olive oil, butter & garlic.

Made this a couple of weeks ago and it came out very dry, my husband said it was just shrimp and pasta, hardly any sauce.

This recipe was quick and easy, but rather dry and bland. I added more olive oil than it called for and doubled the parmesean cheese for flavor. Both my husband and I agreed it would have been better with some kind of sauce. Next time, I'd follow the suggestions to add wine, cream and maybe some halved cherry tomatoes.

I tried this last night, turned out really good, but I made a few changes according to some of the suggestions here. I did steam the brocolli sperately, I added a 1/4 cup of wine and I quarted a few plum tomatos in with the shrimp. I also used frozen cooked shrimp, thawed, which cut time and worked quite well. I used whole wheat penne instead as well and I reduced and thickened the sauce slightly. I was very pleased!

This recipe was delicous! I left out the onion (dh hates it) and sprinkled some onion powder on instead and it was just wonderful.

This was a very easy meal and was liked by all. I used linguini, steamed the broccoli separately and added about 1/4 cup or so of wine. I also used frozen shrimp and it turned out really well.

I make one very similar to this, but I don't use onion, and I steam the broccoli with the pasta instead - I think the flavor of broccoli comes out better, and it stays green and crisp. I also found out you can even use frozen shrimp to make it even faster! Toss it into the butter, give it a shake, and then cover it for a couple of minutes. I keep a bag of peeled shrimp and a bag of broccoli in the freezer for just this recipe - super easy after a long day.

I made this for supper tonight using suggestions from other reviewers. I added about 1/4 cup of white wine and somewhat less of half & half, some chili flakes and I doubled the amount of parmesan cheese. We really liked it. I'll make this again. Thanks for this recipe.

Very simple, but rather bland. I think it would be good with a scampi like sauce and some tomatoes added in, served with a salad and french bread.

I made this last night, and I thought it was just okay. It's easy and quick and reasonably good tasting - but nothing special. I think what it's missing is just a little bit of sauce? It's just dry pasta, broccoli and shrimp tossed together - maybe with a little olive oil or white wine mixed in too it will be better?

This was really good for how wonderfully simple it is. I added red, yellow and orange peppers a few mins after the broccoli, then ground black and white pepper. Next time I'll half some cherry or plum tomatos and add them with the shrimp. The broccoli took about 2 mins longer than stated, and be careful not to add too much pasta. Can't wait to make again. Thanks!!
