This is a very easy and tasty go-to recipe when I need to throw something together quickly! I usually use ground italian sausage and add crushed red pepper flakes for additional kick. We like our food spicy! :) The fresh herbs are a must, so make sure you have them on hand! I also like to use the tri-color rotini sometimes for added color. Thanks for the recipe!

Very average at best. I made as written, the best part of the dish was the fresh shredded parm cheese that we added at the end. This recipe definitely needs some work!

This was actually a VERY good use of our extra Kielbasa! I wasn't sure we'd like it when I first read the recipe, but I followed it almost exactly, only added an extra can of diced tomatoes, and it was fabulous, not to mention very quick!

Wonderful recipe. Only thing I changed was not to add the sugar. Everything else I followed step by step. My daughter who either hates everything or says it is just ok even said that it was actually really good. Thanks for the recipe.

Was good, not great. Nothing really memorable. Might make if I had nothing else planned and had ingredients on hand, but I won't be going out of my way to make this. I used mild Italian Turkey sausage instead of Keilbasa.

This was good but not great. I make a similar recipe with fresh green beans and serve it over pasta. I will keep this one it is good in a pinch.

Not the most exciting dish, but flavorful and easy. To be fair, I didn't have fresh basil or parsley, so I threw in a little dried Italian seasoning instead. Like others, I also used turkey sausage to lower the fat content.

I'm not great at "throwing things together" and so I rely so much on recipes like this to give me a good basic start. I made this one as stated and it was very well received by everyone. Will keep hold of this one and use different veggies and meat. Thanks to Lisa M for submitting it.

So easy and was a hit in my house! I used turkey sausage and kept the rest of the recipe the same!

I did change this up some, but the base was the same. I used lean Italian flavored turkey sausage, a bag of frozen broccoli and one tomato. I skipped the sugar and used whole wheat pasta. After cooking, I sprinkled with a parm blend (shredded)...this was soooo good! My kids (6, 4, 2 and 1) all loved it, it was healthy and low fat. Definitely going to be a keeper in this house! Thanks!

This was excellent. I used JennieO's turkey sausage for something healthier (it would be good with venison too), 1/2 frozen bag of California blend vegies in place of broccoli, 1 small sweet onion in place of the red onion, my can of diced tomatoes was flavored in the can with basil, garlic, and oregano, I added a little dried parsley, skipped the sugar, and used the multi-colored spirals. My husband loved it! He thought it tasted like a good jerky he had before and loved the mixture of spices. I also simmered it longer than the recipe suggested. I will definately make this again. It is a recipe that is easy to vary depending on what you have in the house. I will try whole grain pasta next time to make it even healthier. Yum!

Very good and I used the multi colored spirals for a variation. As all pasta dishes this was very good the next day.
