This was a hit with my family. I cooked chicken breasts instead of the canned. We'll make this again! Thanks!

Good recipe. Next time I will leave out the canned chicken or cook chicken breasts and cut it up. The canned chicken tasted abnormal. Overall it was okay, but I will change some things next time.

Delicous. Thanks to the other users' tips, we used 1/2 velveeta and 1/2 regular cheddar, and added 1 clove garlic. My 21-mth-old asked for seconds!! Hooray!

This was good. I modified it to make it low fat. I substituted fat free sour cream for butter, fat free soups, and fresh steamed broccoli. I also used a half pound of real cheddar, and omitted the velveeta. The only change I would make is to season the chicken more before combining everything.

I made this with cream of celery and chicken since I was out of mushroom. MY husband loved it and my Father-in-Law thought it was from Cracker Barrel! Thanks

I used wild rice instead of white rice, and this was very good! I also tossed in a couple handfuls of shredded cheddar cheese instead of the processed cheese. I bought a rotisserie chicken from the store instead of the canned chicken. Made for very good leftovers!

5 Stars because it is super easy, super quick, super yummy, and all 4 kids LOVED it, even my green-aversion kid who doesn't eat veggies. To make it even faster and easier, I used a rotisserie chicken from my grocery store and just pulled that off the bone, did not pre-cook the rice (instead put it in the casserole dry and added one can of low-sodium chicken broth to the mix), and used 1 package of shredded velveeta and 1 package of shredded sharp cheddar. A few grinds of the pepper mill, a loaf of garlic bread and a tossed salad...dinner was complete. Great meal for a busy mom. Thanks for sharing.

Would have given it 5 stars, but had too much tweaking to do. I used cream of chicken soup but added about 1/2 cup of sour cream. Instead of the white onion, I used green that were sauteed in the butter with some fresh garlic to add a little more flavor. Next time I'm going to try and mix of long grain and wild rice for a change! Thanks! :)

I give it four star's because I had to tweek it a little. I steamed frozen broccoli in my rice cooker as it cooked the rice. I left out the butter and used about 1/2 cup of light sour cream, and used less milk. And as others did used half the amount of velveeta, and shredded cheddar to make up the difference. Also, I dont like cream of mushroom so I used cream of celery. Topping it with cheese in the last few minutes gave it a nice appearance. It was perfect consistency.

My wife, children, and grand-children all loved it! Everyone got seconds, and thirds. My son doesn't like mushrooms, so I used cream of celery. In addition, I left out the onion. I will be making this again!

Entire family went back for 2nds. Cut the recipe in half but used fresh broccoli, cut up baked chicken, used extra cheese and only one can of soup, mushroom soup. Also added fresh sliced mushrooms. This was so good and the little bit that was left over was even better the next day.

This was really tasty dish for being so simple. I did use the canned chicken but next time I think I will use leftover cooked chicken. I didn't know what to do about the butter, so I melted it in the microwave and then added it. I think this would be good with a topping of crushed ritz crackers w/ melted butter, may try that too. Easy, inexpensive, delish meal.

This was okay. I like that it has everything in it that the kids love to eat. I think it needs a little more flavor with the recipe as it is. Next time, I will cook the rice in chicken stock and add more seasoning to the cream soups mixture.

What a nice, versatile recipe! My college chums all liked it, and what was left over was AMAZING baked with a little extra cheese in some store-bought crescent roll dough. Like some others, I made some substitutions -- poached chicken left over from making soup instead of canned, 1/4 lb sharper cheese instead of "cheese food", not-instant white rice cooked to the packages specifications (later left out the milk to account for extra liquid). Delish.

This was a fast recipe and tasty too. Some quick tips (substitutes): I used fresh broccoli, 1 cup seasoned wild rice and 1 cup whole grain brown rice, low sodium/low fat cream of mushroom and chicken and 1/2 lb real cheddar.
