Not my favorite. Not as much flavor as I had hoped. Very processed tasting.

I was looking for something that could come close to Subway's Broccoli & Cheese soup, but this recipe was far superior and beat all of my expectations. Cut down the serving size for our small family of 3, and followed instructions to the letter. Awesome recipe - thank you!

Everyone enjoyed this. Very filling. Need to make some changes next time: slice shaved (lunch meat) ham into small pieces; saute with 1 chopped red onion in 1/2 c. butter; stir in 3 cans chicken broth and 32oz pkg of broccoli pieces. Cover and simmer until cooked. Smash broccoli into finer pieces. Add 2 lbs Velveeta (cubed), 2 pints of whole cream and 1 tbs of garlic powder. Let it simmer. Thicken it by mixing separately 2/3 c. cornstarch and another can of chicken broth. Pour into soup and stir until thickened. Makes 3 meals and can be frozen.

I've made this a few times now. I followed other reviewer's advice and I doubled the cheese and broccoli. This is my boyfriend's favorite soup now! When I first made this soup I couldn't find a block of "process cheese food" so I ended up buying some sliced american cheese and pealing all those slices for the soup. Get the block of cheese, it was a lot of work to unwrap all those!

If you are feeling like indulging on the "comfy" side for a bit this soup is delish! I used vegetable broth instead and brocolli baby florets (two frozen bags). Also added some sharp cheddar.

This soup is excellent!!! So yummy, this is exactly what I was looking for when searching for a replacement for the soup I used to get at Sizzler's. After surgery and radiation to the mouth, my husband loved this yummy soup, we even blended it to make it extra smooth. I have made it just as the recipe directs, and have also added an extra package of broccoli for extra veggies. Great both ways!!! This is a keeper!!!

This recipe was really fantastic! It was gone in a day and it makes a HUGE pot! Definitely add 2 lbs of Velvetta and twice as much broccoli. To simplify, I used 2 bags of the steam in bag broccoli and just added the broccoli to the onion mixture. I also used 1 cup cream and 1 cup milk like some other users suggested. I didn't have any canned bullion, so I just prepared 5 cups bullion with the cubes I had. I also used fresh minced garlic instead of the powder. Amazingly awesome stuff. If you like the Broccoli Cheese soup at Chili's, you're really gonna like this recipe. Marvelous! Thanks for sharing!

AWESOME! My daughter had been bugging to to find a great broccoli cheese soup recipe. This is the one! I used about 20 oz of frozen broccoli florets. Cooked them down, and then followed a few other reviewers. Chopped them up and added them to the butter. I left out the onions because my daughter hates them. I added three cans of broth til heated up, then added 2 lbs. of cheese and used 1 1/2 cups of the other can of broth to mix with the cornstarch. Thanks for this awesome recipe.

I am sorry but I did not care for this at all, I know it is weird because like everyone else likes it. To me the garlic flavor was too strong, although normally I love garlic. I thought that the cornstarch was a little much and made it too thick. I have never really made a soup with cornstarch before, so maybe I did something wrong. I threw the whole pot away and made a sandwich for dinner. Don't worry though, lots of others liked it... my taste buds are just different I guess.

I'm a head chief at a known La Restaurant. I'm always having family and friend want me to make these over the top kind of foods. Well, I carted a friends housewarming party and wanted to try something different wasn't in the mood to go out and make up my own stuff, so I looked on this. I didn't read any review until after I made my soup. I loved it and now ofter it at my business where its getting tons of great raves. Best advise I can give those that didn't like it is to always take and go with the feeling cornstarch works better then flour but add flavor to that, white pepper does wonders. I did use a little over 2 lbs, and streamed the broccoli with the chicken broth, whole, then pulled the broccoli out diced it then added it back. I did use a 1/2 c of butter with the onion

Pretty good stuff. My husband really liked it. I used two heads of fresh broccoli instead of frozen, chopped. I used 1-2 tsp fresh chopped garlic instead of garlic powder because I didn't have it. I added 1/2 cup cheddar cheese at the end, 4 dashes of tobasco, and chopped cooked chicken. My husband suggested chopped bacon, I think I'll try that next time. Thanks for the recipe.

This was pretty good. I cut back on the Velveeta at first and subbed in a little cheddar. I ended up adding the rest of the Velveeta just to get it to the flavor I was looking for. Other than that, it was pretty good. I ended up having to cook my broccoli a little longer because we like ours kind of soft in soup. Otherwise, pretty good recipe.

This was an okay recipe exactly as written. At the end we added a few dashes of tabasco and extra cheese for more flavor. Turned out much better! Place in a bread bowl for looks.
