Good, basic cake recipe. It turns out perfectly well if you follow the recipe as is. The important thing to remember is that the flour must be measured after being sifted. If not, you'll end up including too much flour. The only thing I didn't like is that the flavor could be better. At the moment, it's merely satisfactory.

Made this cake in my convection oven and it still turned out heavy and tasting like mushy flour. Unfortunately, I had a whole houseful of guests at the time, all of whom had one bite, said "yuk" and put their plates aside.

This cake was easy to make and didn't take long to make. But, the cake was too dense and lacked flavor. It tasted as if you were eating flour right out of the bag. Yuck. I would not recommend this recipe.
