This turned out absolutely perfect. Very moist, very delicious. I made 12 cupcakes and a loaf cake, and there was the perfect amount of icing for everything. This recipe is so easy and quick but tastes like you spent hours making it! I received so many compliments that I couldn't possibly admit I used a box of cake mix ;)

Made the cake according to the recipe and my family loved it! Cake seem to dry out pretty quickly though. The frosting was the real hit!!

Not bad, but not very unique recipe. I tried this recipe using a box of Betty Crocker's Red Velvet Cake mix and followed the instructions to bake it. I saw no reason to add cream cheese or sour cream to the cake mix so I omitted it. The recipe for the frosting however was very good.

This cake was heavy and had an odd texture. he flavor was okay. The icing was good. I doubled the icing b/c I didn't want it to be skimpy and that worked out well. I most likely will not make this cake again but I will probably use the frosting recipe along with another cake recipe.

Didn't like this at all. Very heavy. Not what I expected. I guess if I am going to use a box mix, I might as well follow the box directions. Wouldn't make this again.
