Shirley Caldwell
"Any time we take this savory, satisfying bread to a potluck, it goes over very well. We never bring any home. My husband generally makes this bread and prides himself on the beautiful golden loaves. -Shirley Caldwell, Northwood, Ohio"

Great receipe. I have made this for over 20 years. I like half cup of Parmesian cheese as well as half cup of cheddar cheese. I never have any left over.

Very good. Took it to a breakfast meeting and didn't have any leftovers--only a few pieces left and people took them home with them. I made my own bread from the Fabulous French Loaves from the site and just rolled it out. Some of the stuffing came out, and my preference would be peppers instead of mushrooms and onions, but the seasonings are wonderful. Very good, thanks!

I've made this with just sausage and cheddar cheese rolled up in the bread dough. GREAT for breakfast!!! This recipe is more complicated with more ingredients (and probably better), but in a pinch the plain is great too. Just use one bread loaf and 1 lb. of sausage.

Very good. Was a tad too spicy for me so will use all mild sausage next time, but will definitely make again.
