'I tried this recipe when I was a 4-H leader,' jots Louise Gangwish of Shelton, Nebraska. 'Before morning chores, the young members would grab a glass of milk or juice and a handful of these crisp cookies.' Chock-full of bacon, cornflakes and raisins, they're a handy breakfast on the go.

These taste like doughnuts without the hassle of rolling out and frying. Our daughter likes me to have them waiting for her and her friends after school.

Don't let the stiff batter of these muffins fool you; these slightly sweet puffs really bake up light and delicate. Serve them hot and they'll melt in your mouth!

I first made this breakfast version of bread pudding for our annual Memorial Day breakfast more than 10 years ago. I'm eager to try new recipes each year, but my friends and family love this so much they won't let me make anything else!

THIS RECIPE has a long tradition in our family. It was a special meal at my mother's table, and I enjoyed cooking it for my seven children. Now they prepare it for their families. I'm glad this recipe was easy to adjust for just the two of us. My wife and I enjoy it two or three times a week. -James Newton, Minocqua, Wisconsin

My grandmother taught me to bake these breakfast buns 70 years ago. Now my granddaughter makes them! This batter is like a biscuit dough and can be made up in a short time. There's no nicer way to wake up in the morning than to the aromas of biscuits baking and coffee perking!
