This recipe tasted fine, but the breading didn't stay on the tomatoes.. I think that maybe dipping the tomatoes in egg instead of milk would help- but I'm not sure. I ended up flipping the tomatoes, then pouring the extra crumbs on top, and topping with cheese.. They tasted just fine, but I was sad about how the coating fell off.. :-(

I am so sorry for the low rating, but I've never made anything that I ended up having to throw away, until today. :( I followed the recipe exactly except for allowing the tomato slices to drain on paper towels for about 15 mins. to remove some excess liquid...It didn't help! They breaded nicely and once I got them into the pan that's when everything went downhill. The coating pretty much all fell off the tomatoes, making them impossible to turn and they never browned (which I suspect is from the liquid in the tomatoes). I ended up with a greasy, mushy pile of tomatoes. I was very excited to try this and had high hopes, but it just didn't work out for me. :(
