Double coat as suggested, with extra salt and pepper in the egg mixture. Works great if you make twice the coating in one go, and fry up a big batch of breaded chicken fingers and breaded green beans.

This was a really good recipe! I was going to bake these in the oven but my oldest asked me to fry these instead. So I did but saved some to make the next day for lunch & then I would bake them so I could see which way was better. Well, to me frying was soo much better. Maybe I should have double dipped them in the batter but I just dipped in the batter & then the flour mixture & when I took them out of the oven, they were still covered in flour. It was gross. Marinating really long didn't make a difference either. But, overall, I will deffinatly be making these again. Very yummy!

My family loved this. The 16 year old said, "this chicken is AWESOME". In place of buttermilk, I used 2% milk with a Tablespoon of vinegar. This will be a regular at our dinner table.

Really good! BF has been asking for fried (not oven fried) chicken and although daunted by the idea of that much oil, I decided to indulge him and, boy are these good. The only thing I did differently was to add about 2 tb Frank's Wing Sauce to the buttermilk/egg mix and I'm glad I did. It added a nice kick to it, but obviously this is a matter of preference... Not a good addition for kids or those who don't like heat. Point being, he was happy and I'll be hitting the gym! Totally worth it :)

Great recipe. I usually never have buttermilk so I place a Tablespoon of white vinegar with a cup of milk and let sit for 15 minutes. I use it instead of the buttermilk and follow the recipe just as it is. Delicious every time.

Really Great, Made these tonight for company. I used my food saver to marinate these, which really helps the marinate get in the chicken. I also used panko Japanese style crumbs with a little extra seasoning.

Very good - very filling. I followed some recommendations such as double breading and this turned out much better than I had hoped. I definitely thought it needed more seasoning - I added some creole seasoning and lots of pepper to the breading and would probably add a little more next time.

Absolutely Amazing. My family could not say enough about these chicken fingers. I also took the advice of another member, and after I tossed them in the breadcrumb mixture, I re-dipped them into the egg/buttermilk mixture and then re-coated them again in the crumb mixture. I also substituted Panko bread crumbs for ordinary bread crumbs and they came out so crispy. My family insists on these fingers over the local restaurant ones. I served it with the “Honey mustard Dressing II" from this site.
