This was pretty good. A wee bit too much cinnamon, and too many raisins for me, but the flavor was good overall. It did take three times as long to cook as stated, though. Thanks for a good recipe that is fairly close to mom's!

Made this tonight and it was yummy. Only used 5 eggs. It took longer to cook was 50 mins in the oven. Will make it again.

Delicious! The pudding had a really strong egg taste thats why I only gave it 4 stars, oh and I always use more cinnamon that instructed but other than that I would definitely try to make it again!

This is a keeper. I made this for my grandmother and she was so impressed with the look of it while baking, she turned on the oven light and made everyone come look at it. Our family loves chopped nuts added to our bread pudding and if it's one of those nights for an extra special dessert, we top it with a drizzle of hot carmel sauce and whipped cream. Yummy!

I made a few changes, but this is the best bread pudding I've tried! Since I prefer my bread pudding more like mushy bread (like a form of French bread), I only used 5 eggs per many reviewers. I also used 1 TBS of cinnamon. I didn't add any raisins because I used a wonderful bread from the bakery with dates, raisins and nuts. I also guessed on the bread and might've added a slice too many, but it was still quite good. I forgot the nutmeg and to let it sit for five minutes before putting it in the oven. Yup, still good! This is a simple and delicious recipe. If you are going to add a sauce though, you might want to cut back on the sugar in the pudding at it is already plenty sweet enough.

This was great! I used butter not margarine...but other than that no changes...it was fluffy, creamy... a nice texture...a dab of icecream really went well...

This was so good! One of if not the Best recipes I've used. My family loved it. I used 5 of the small portugues sweet bread instead of 10 slices of bread and the combo tasted like a cinnamin bun. Delicious!!!

Oh is this good...I threw it together at the end of a fairly stressful day. It's comfort food at it's best. Just based on personal taste I increased the cinnamon and omitted the nutmeg. I'm keeping this one!!!

Very easy to make. Family loved it, esp my English mum. She loved the extra cinnamon and I added just a touch extra sugar. (She has a sweet tooth). When i cut the cubes, I placed them on a cookies sheet and toasted them in the oven while I was mixing up the custard. It really absorbed the liquid, and I used evaporated milk mixed w/water, the flavor very nice. Definately a keeper!

: D This was fantastic!! I did 1/2 the recipe in a 9x5 pan at 350--it took like an HOUR, which was annoying, but it turned out great. And crispy. Also short 1/4 cup of milk but that was OK too. Have fun with this one! (would have tasted better with apples or other fruit like that but i didn;t have ani)

This was SO easy to make and my guests thought it was amazing. Everyone asked for the recipe. I made it without raisins and added a Rum Camamel Sauce dribbled over it. Delicious!

This recipe makes very good basic bread pudding. I followed the recipe exactly, using homemade crustless bread. The cooking time was a bit over an hour. It is almost light (not too dense) for bread pudding, which I like. Extra good with Hard Sauce--recipe from this website.

I made this for my dad because he loves bread pudding and he seemed to really enjoy it. I thought it was good but not very sweet. I used dried cranberries instead of raisins. It was very easy to make.
