This smelled not so great, but tasted WONDERFUL. A great meal for friends at the beach house. We just followed the recipe.... THANKS.

Great comfort food that reminded me of home! I added an extra bottle of beer (used pale ale - all I had)... Never skimp on beer in a boil like this. :) Also, to save time, I broiled the brats in the oven. The only thing I would change is to not cook the lemons in the boil. I might add the juice from one SMALL lemon (or omit all together), but cooking the lemons in the pot saturated the onions with the lemon flavor. They tasted terrible - we couldn't eat them.. Onions are a MUST with the beer brats, so it was a disappointment to not be abel to eat them. In my opinion, save your lemons for on the table! Otherwise this was a great recipe!!

I have had this on many occasions, but this version was the best. I added an extra beer and a little more Old Bay. It is delicious leftover, too! Serving melted butter and lemon on the side was a winner!

Superb! I used Jalapeno smoked sausage and everything turned out perfect! I have found a new boil recipe! Myself and 2 men ate until we could eat no more and there was still food left over! This is a quick and so easy favorite of mine now!!! Thank you!
