I made this for dinner for my four year old and myself. We both were surprised that it was so good. I added crushed red pepper to give it a little kick. Was awesome!

This was muy delicioso! I have also lived in Germany and with these ingredients, I would definitely not call this something that I would find there, but I think fusion is a beautiful thing (: I did make changes. I followed the advice of cutting the potatoes into chunks because it took too much time and trouble to brown them otherwise. My hubby hates bell peppers, so I subbed brussel sprouts in his half. This one is a keeper!

Delicious. I enjoyed the veggies more than the brats so next time I'm going to try it vegetarian to cut out some of the fat. I also sauteed the onion and pepper (I used orange because I like a little sweeter of a pepper) before mixing it with the potatoes because I love sauteed onion and pepper.

Even with the improvisions I had made to it, surprisingly pretty good flavor. I used a canola/olive oil blend since didn't have vegetable oil, used regular white potato & left out green peppers since I didn't have any. I wasn't sure about the combination of soy sauce & orange juice so I used half of soy sauce & squeezed the juice of half a clementine....tasted it & it was weird flavor. Figured I'll just toss it in there anyhow & see what happens since this was just for me to eat. It actually enhanced the flavor in my opinion. I would make this again even with the improvisions & I'm sure the orig would be pretty good. I found that my cooking time was much longer but probably due to the fact that I used a non-stick pan instead of skillet. I didn't rate it 5 because I didn't actually make the original version. This is a keeper for me.

First time cooking anything like this. I have a husband who likes meat and potato recipes, and four kids who like a lot of different kinds of foods....however I wasn't sure if this one was going to please everyone, or just a few. Turns out it was a complete family pleaser! Everyone loved it! I was very surprised that with so little ingredients, how much flavor it packed! will for sure become a constantly used recipe in my house!

I made this recipe for dinner tonight because I had the ingredients handy and wanted to use up some bratwurst I had in my freezer. I am glad that I made it because it was a very tasty dish! I doubled the recipe to 4 servings and made it exactly as written. The only changes I made was to omit the green pepper because my family doesn't like it, I used 8 small red potatoes instead of 4 medium red potatoes, I didn't have dried basil so I used McCormick Perfect Pinch Salt Free Garlic and Herb seasoning because it has dried basil, orange peel, garlic, rosemary, onion, parsley, paprika and celery. I cooked the potatoes and onions together well done so that they were nicely browned and the onions carmelized and then added the sausage and the sauce. I loved the flavor of the sauce and didn't think it was too salty at all. Overall this was a very good recipe that my daughter and I both enjoyed and I will make it again.
