Nice flavor from the sauce, but not spectacular. The potatoes crisped and then uncrisped when the other ingredients were added, leaving a dish that was unappetizing in appearance.

This was an easy and very tasteful recipe. Because I was making for more people I doubled the recipe. Everyone loved it. I will use this recipe again.

Delicious. I don't think the salt is necessary due to the soy sauce. The orange juice was nice and subtle. I added a few chopped cherry tomatoes from the garden and a dash of paprika. Good quick recipe that can be played with if you want more/different spices.

I was a little leary about this one because of the orange juice, but it was VERY good. My entire family (hubby, me AND our 2 year old)couldn't get enough!

The hubby enjoyed this. I had to sub lemon juice for the OJ and it was still very good. I saw where someone suggested scrambled eggs to serve with, so I fried up a couple eggs. I'm not too good at scrambling. Was very filling. Thanks Lucy for posting.

I doubled the sauce, reduced the salt, and added pre-minced garlic along with the onions. I think the recipe could use a bit more seasoning, but it was certainly a good way to use my extra bratwurst!

Simple, quick & yummy! But I changed it up a bit because I was out of orange juice & green pepper. I doubled the recipe & put a dash each (to taste) of lime juice, balsamic vinegar & dijon mustard in the soy sauce. I pan fried potatoes fresh green beans & onion together at a med-high heat until golden crisp, while grilling the brats. Followed directions from there.

Delicious, fast, and filling! Speaking as a college student, this is a perfect meal. I've used both lemon juice and orange juice with great results.

Great recipe. My husband and I loved it. It was very easy. I used three Bratwursts instead of two. I shared this recipe with my mother and she loved it. I will make this again!!!

This has been an old favorite, substitute Dijon mustard & Worcestershire for the soy sauce & OJ.

This was OK, but not anything I will make again, the sauce made my potatoes soggy and just had a weird taste, I used sausage instead of the brats but that didn't make a difference

Nice and easy meal. I make something similar with smoked sausage. The bratwurst was a nice change.

This is a delicious way to make bratwurst that is pretty fast and easy. The potatoes are my favorite part of this recipe! You can tweak with the spices to your own tastes, but this version is definitely good.

me and the kids didn't like it at all but my husband loved it which is unusual. He is normally hard to please. When I put the soy sauce and orange juice on it made the potatoes a little soggy

We just had this tonight for dinner and it was pretty good. I took other reviewers' advice and served with scrambled eggs and my family all enjoyed it. My son was especially excited to learn that there was enough leftover for him to warm it up for breakfast. I tasted this throughout the cooking process and decided to add about a teaspoon of cayenne pepper--definitely a great idea. I didn't like the idea of flipping the rounds of potatoes so I cubed mine instead. It took a little longer to get them cooked, but I'm sticking with the cubes next time I make it. Serving with rice, as some suggested, seems a bit strange to me--having two starches in one meal (potatoes and rice) just doesn't sound good to me. The orange juice and soy sauce were both great tasting, and neither one overpowered anything--don't mess with the measurements given in the recipe and you'll do just fine.
