I would rate this 3.5 if I could. I definately suggest the chicken broth and cook the contents until it has a syrup texture. I might make this again and add a little brown sugar perhaps to cut the bitterness or a bay leaf to cut the acid. I also used a very good balsamic vinegar , and served with rice.

Major go-to recipe for me. I love this one! I almost always have the supplies on hand. I don't change a thing EXCEPT cutting the balsamic in half, and adding in 1/4 cup chicken broth to make up the liquid difference. Very good. Very tasty!

We enjoyed it, even the 3 year old. Ok, the 2 year old wouldn't touch it, but I don't think that was the chicken's fault! We had lots of sauce, and the tomatoes were an absolutely fabulous addition (we used garden fresh ones). As per other reviews, I added garlic. Didn't have tyme, but was fine anyway. Served it with new potatoes and green beans. As leftovers, I mixed in the green beans and loved it. The sauce is really good!

The recipe was good, but I wouldn't bother making it again. Both my husband and I thought it was average.

I changed up the recipe slightly, using minced garlic and salt rather than garlic salt, I also used Garlic and Onion diced tomatoes. The chicken was tender and juicy. I found the 1/2 cup of Balsamic slightly overpowering and would try it again with a little less. Overall a delicious and healthy recipe.

I LOVED this!! It was so delicious!! I only used 1/4 of a cup of balsamic vinegar, substituting the other 1/4 cup with chicken broth. I cubed my chicken, and used petite diced tomatoes w/ sweet onions. I served with whole grain brown rice I had cooked w/ the leftover chicken broth. It was so, so good. I'm not a big fan of balsamic vinegar, and I've never cooked with it, so I was skeptical that I would enjoy this dish, but I did. My husband and 2 picky kids loved it as well!! Great recipe, I will definitely be cooking this in the future!!

easy enough to cook. family liked it and collectively rated it "4". i did add brown sugar as suggested while carmelizing the onions and i think this helped a great deal. next time i will use 1/2 the vinegar and not drain tomatoes. also would cut down on the herbs a little as they can be little overwhelming. all in all this is a good dish and one i will try again...just with a few of my on tweaks.

This was fast, easy and good! Double the sauce with 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar and 1/2 cup chicken stock. If you use diced Italian tomatoes you don't need any of the extra spices. I also added garlic and mushrooms when I was browning the chicken/onions. Sauce IS thin so serve over rice.

Hubby said if they sold this at a restruant he would buy it! He really liked it. I carmelized the onions w/ a bit of brown sugar and used a mixture of balsamic vinegrette dressing and some white wine vinegar b/c that's what I had. We had it with spaghetti noodles.

I don't typically review recipes, but I have to give a shout out for this one. My family loved it. Perfect recipe: Healthy, quick and easy! My dh and I both took leftovers for lunch the next day and I think it was even better. Made the recipe as written, but did pound the breasts to even them out. Thanks so much!
