Very good recipe. The last time I made it, it turned out to be a bit soupy. I may have added a bit too much cream, but I don't think so. This is a basic recipe that can be adapted to different proteins or vegetables - even vegetarian. Yum!

Very good, but a little time consuming to make. To make healthier I substituted, turkey sausage, and fat free half and half (in place of heavy cream). Needed to add a little extra cornstarch to make set up but very delicious.

I thought this was wonderful. Easy and pretty, too. I'm not a big sausage fan, but I loved this. I plan to make it again using shrimp instead.

My family loves this. I use spicy sausage & skip the hot pepper flakes. Also, I use a can of evaporated 2% milk instead of the cream, as I always have some on hand.

This was AMAZING, possibly my favorite recipe on this site. Absolutely delicious. As I always do, I added the listed seasonings to taste because I love a lot of flavor, but other than that followed it exactly and received rave reviews. Thank you so much for such a great recipe that my boyfriend now asks for all of the time haha.

I read the other reviews before I made this recipe and too only used about 1/2 to 1/3 the amount of sausage and was glad I did. I didn't have any fresh tomatoes so I used a can of diced tomatoes. It was very good. Reminded me of a bolongese sauce just a bit runnier. Next time I will probably go with crushed tomoatoes for a creamier smoother texture. Will definitely make again!

This has fast become one of my favorite recipes! I've been using hot italian sausage instead of sweet. I've made it for my manfriend and some of my room mates and they go nuts for it as well.

So easy and so terrific!! I did leave out the red pepper flakes for my 6-yr old, but I'm sure my husband would have liked it even more if I had included it. The only thing I did differently was to run some of the tomatoes through my food processor because we don't like really chunky tomato sauce. The ingredients are simple, it's quick to prepare, and we will be eating this often!

I made this recipe for dinner and it was a hit. My veggie eating only 2 yr old loved it and didn't even touch his veggies. I did not have enough cream so I used a 1/2 cup of 2% milk and used a little flour to thicken just a touch. Great easy recipe. Will definatly make again.

Very good! I changed it a bunch, but I loved the light, creamy tomato sauce that was the main purpose of the recipe. I cooked the sausages whole and sliced them to add later. I added sauteed chunks of chicken breast, as well as quartered whole mushrooms. I used half-n-half instead of cream. It was very tasty and easy to make! Yum!

I made this for dinner the other night & I was not disappointed! I did add a can of drained mushrooms, just because I love them. Instead of heavy cream, I used part evaporated milk & part fat free half & half. Delicious!

I really wanted to like this recipe because it's so easy to make. The sauce was wonderful, but I didn't like the Italian sausage in it. Maybe I'll try it again with chicken or turkey. The sauce was so creamy and delicious with the tomatoes and pasta.

super duper easy to make and perfect for those weeknights where you're too tired to cook anything fancy. I used elbow macaroni instead of penne, half and half instead of heavy cream, and paprika instead of red pepper flakes. Also, to further make things easier, I used garlic powder instead of minced garlic and dried parsley instead. Fresh is always best, but when you've had a rough day or you've run out of stuff in the pantry--- it tasted fantastic with these substitutes as well. However, please note that I seasoned to taste (garlic powder, salt, and paprika. I didn't follow exact measurements for those.

Simple and delicious! Made recipe pretty much just a stated.I used bulk mild italian sausage, which has no casing, so easy to work with. As another reviewer suggested, I drained out most of the oil after cooking sausage. I didn't have fresh parsley, so I used 1 1/2 Tbsp dry. Added pasta into the pan and tossed with about 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese. This is a keeper! Mmm,Mmm good!

No doubt I will make this over and over again. Marvelous! I used ground sweet sausage and left out the pepper flakes because I didn't have any. Can't wait to add them next time. They'll give it an ever better taste (if that's even possible). I also added 4 garlic cloves. Will probably add another 1 or 2 next time. My husband was oinking out on this stuff!! Oh, also used 1 cup whipping cream and 1/2 cup half & half. Used italian diced tomatoes and added some spinach like another person did.

This really is delicious. It really is restaurant quality. I substituted ziti for bow ties, a 28 oz can of diced tomatoes, and light cream instead of heavy cream. I also lightened the red pepper flakes to 1/4 tsp because of the kids. At the end when I added the sauce to the pasta, I also mixed in about 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan cheese. So good and fast to make!
