Original Recipe Yield 1 pie
 

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup white karo syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 pre-made pie crust

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cream butter by hand, then gradually add in sugar followed by eggs.
  2. Next stir in syrup, salt, vanilla and bourbon.
  3. Add pecans and chocolate chips, stir well and pour into crust.
  4. Bake 40 - 50 minutes or until top of pie is golden brown.
