1 (16 ounce) package hot dogs, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 cup bourbon whiskey

1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions

Place hot dogs, bourbon whiskey, ketchup, and brown sugar into a saucepan over medium heat. Heat, stirring often, until the brown sugar has dissolved and sauce is bubbly, 10 to 15 minutes.

We have made these for years using Bratwurst, Baby Ray's BBQ sauce but no booze. We are having a church supper next Saturday and we are signed up for an appetizer. I wonder what they will say when they taste these?

A huge hit! Whenever I bring them anywhere I make a ton and they always are the first thing to go. Instead of cutting up hot dogs we just use cocktail weinies to save time, and because they taste amazing! We also leave it on the stove a bit longer than the recipe said to, but it just helps the sauce thicken a bit, so it coats the dogs more.
