Wow! The best barbeque sauce that you can get on or off the shelf or even from a restaurant that claims to be BBQ. We followed other's advice and got cheap bourbon and reduced the sugar and we were still licking our fingers for days.

Oh so delicious! I only added a drizzle of molasses and a glug or two of orange juice. I love a sauce with a citus tang.

Wasn't impressed with this sauce. It was good, but didn't knock my socks off. Maybe I will let it sit a day and try it again? I used expensive bourbon that I had and now I wish I wouldn't have wasted it!

Wow! This stuff is fantastic! Kevin you should have kept this a secret and bottled it! I made it the afternoon before. The next day I put it over pork chops in the crock pot. Whew! Delicious!!! Cheap bourbon works great!

Really Good!! I add red pepper to taste when I need spicey. I even added apricot jelly for sweet & the combination of the jelly & red pepper with the whiskey was unbeleivable on Ribs.

Wow. This was very flavorful. It turns out I didn't have tomato paste so I diced up a tomato and roughly mashed it up with some corn starch. My hot sauce of choice was Sriracha sauce (a medium spicy sauce with a lot of garlic in it so feel free to tweak the recipe).

What a great recipe!! I'm making it again today. Last time I did, we were at the Air Show...we had already filled up on burgers and hot dogs, but I still made the chicken thighs using this recipe...People that we didn't know came up to me and asked me to try the chicken. I was offered money for the chicken and for the recipe....that said something to me...now this time, I'll actually (hopefully) have a chance to try it! :)

great sauce! I live in Austria. There is only one bbq sauce I have found in the stores. It's Heinz bbq sauce. I'm really glad this recipy was shared. I use half the worcestershire sauce and subsitute one spoon of smoke for a spoon of Maggi (which may only be availible in europe, it's a soup booster). I've tried many variations and this is my familys favorite. I put it on bbq baby back ribs and chicken a couple of times about 5 min before it's finished. Friends and family over here really enjoy coming to my house for bbq, beer and horseshoes. I enjoy sharing my American bbq culture. Thanx, Nudi.

i used this recipe as directed but after i combined all the ingredients in the pan i put it the crock pot and let it cook overnight. everyone loved it at work.

Great sauce - only complaint from me is that it was a little sweet for my taste. When I do it again (which I will for sure)I'll cut out the sugar - I reckon ketchup has enough in it to hold it together.

I don't remember where I got this recipe, but I have it written in an old cookbook I got from Marlboro....This is one of the best sauces we've ever had and we come from an area known for our many flavors of chicken wings!

This sauce is wonderful. I added more hot sauce and apple cider vingear than the recipe called for. I didn't measure how much more, I just added until the sauce had the right bite for my family. This is a keeper. Thank you!!!

I gave this one 5 stars only because that was the limit. It needs 10 ! I live in North Carolina, the capital for barbecue and let me tell you this is the BEST barbecue sauce I have ever tasted. I made it exactly by the recipe, no changes at all. I will NEVER buy another bottle of barbecue sauce again and I wouldn't use it if someone gave it to me. THIS will be what I use for the rest of my life !! It is sooooooo good !!!!

We weren't that fond of this sauce. There was nothing bad tasting about it, so I gave it a 4- we just prefer Sweet Baby Rays, which comes in a bottle and is easier, cheaper, tastes better (to us anyway), and doesn't waste my whiskey!
