Butter, milk, whipping cream, sugar, and cornstarch are cooked until thick and creamy in a double boiler and poured into a waiting crust. Five minutes in a hot oven sets the filling, and then you 've got a wonderful pie.

This pie is very sweet and creamy, and it 's laced with a hint of vanilla. Lots of sugar, heavy cream and flour are combined, and then milk and vanilla are mixed in. The filling is poured into an unbaked pie crust, dotted with butter, sprinkled with nutmeg and baked .
