It's delicious! The only thing I changed was that I did not use lemon in the dressing. I also refrained from adding chopped onions as I personally do not like them. I also added carrots. I love it and my boyfriend asks me to make it constantly.

I have been searching for a recipe that was like a salad I had once at a potluck and had no luck of finding the owner before the dish disappeared. I also substituted cauliflower for half of the broccoli, and only used 1/2 the pepper but otherwise followed the same directions. The only change I would make is to omit the cheddar cheese and maybe add some sunflower seeds next time. My Bunko group ranted and raved about the salad as is...no leftovers.

THis is now a family & guest favorite. I added cauliflower, sunflower seeds & raisins. I think it is best if the broccoli & cauliflower are made very small. LOVE IT!!!!

How to turn a 4 star recipe into a 5 star: (I honestly didn't try the recipe how it was posted...read a few complaints & changes, also didn't have red wine vinegar in hand...but it was amazing when done as follows): 2 & 1/2 heads broccoli (chopped into small pieces) 6 slices of bacon (All I had on hand) 1 & 1/2 C Shredded Cheddar Cheese 1 medium red onion, diced 1 tsp pepper Dash of salt 1 C. Mayo 1/3 C Sugar 2 Tbs White Vinegar VERY, VERY GOOD!!! (Might even decrease the sugar to 1/4 C)

Very good recipe for Broccoli Salad. I did add more dressing than it called for but I liked the overall ingredient mix.

this recipe does not call for cashews but they are seen in the picture provided . Cashews definitely add a nice texture to this salad

Found this a month or so ago and have already made it 3 or 4 times. My 14 yr old daughter asks for it!!! I don't change anything in it, think it's great the way it is.

This was changed a little by adding fat free sundried tomato salad dressing instead of the mayo.

Love it! I added shaved almonds and a cole slaw mix though which has made it a staple now at family functions.

I thought this was very good. I made it yesterday to go with dinner, and I'm eating the leftovers right now. I'm not a big veggie fan, but I love this! The only thing I would change is a little bit less vinegar- it's just a little strong.

If you double this recipe DO NOT double the pepper. Yikes. I would cut the pepper in half for single recipe, also. I added raisins and it was terrific.

I Loved this! I used frozen broccoli, used onion powder instead of onion (all I had), bacon bits instead of bacon (again, didn't have the ingredient on hand), used 2% colby and monterey jack mix (all I had), light mayo, and I omitted salt (as I do for most recipes). I will definitely make it again =D

I have a bunch of broccoli in the garden to use up so I thought I would try this. A bit too much vinegar for my taste. But it definately needs to be made in advance. Tastes much better the next day. I also added sunflower seeds.
