This was really easy to make, but it was kind of bland. I think it needed more cottage cheese than the recipe stated (a bigger container). It was super easy and inexpensive though! A good lasagna recipe altogether!

Excellent! Quick and easy - I used 2 jars of Classsico, added fresh garlic and italian seasoning. Also fresh grated parmesan on top before baking. Everyone enjoyed it and it's now the only one I make. Thanks for sharing!

This is one of the first recipes I used from Allrecipes. Let me just begin by saying I can't cook unless I have a recipe. This recipe is great. My picky kids and super picky husband loved this and raved about my cooking - ha - that never happened before. Of course, I doubled the cheese.

I rated this as a four because I think it was probably a good recipe...I totally botched it. I used too much cheese (if you can imagine that), I used more meat, as suggested by other reviewers, and I STILL couldn't taste anything but the cheese. Plus, I used oven ready noodles...I will never do that again! I will try this one again though, and maybe follow closer to the actual recipe instead of changing it so much.

This lasagna was the best lasagna I've ever made...and I've tried several recipes. My husband couldn't stop going back for more! I did follow the tweaks others recommended including mixing the ricotta and cottage cheese w/ the egg and nutmeg. DELICIOUS!

The recipe lived up to it's name - awesome! I substituted the beef for lean ground turkey and used riccotta cheese instead of cottage cheese. Also added some Italian seasoning to the turkey while sautéing.

this recipe was great. Next time I'll mix both the cheeses together and use as one layer, and I will definitely need more meat. I added some cilantro and nutmeg to the meat mixture like other reviewers recommended and I think it added a little flair.

A great classic lasagna that has been added to my rotation of meals. I often use ground Italian sausage for extra flavor and extra mozzarella cheese. Because really, the best part of lasagna is the cheese!

This is DELICIOUS!! I used 1.5 lb of ground lean turkey and cooked it with the onion, some italian seasonings and garlic. I couldn't tell that it wasn't beef! Also, I used ricotta instead of cottage with one egg added. For the noodles, I opted to use the "soak" method as suggested by others and it turned out fabulous! Another suggestion is to put the ricotta / cottage cheese layer right after the noodle layers. This is a traditionally good dish!

Over the years I have taken this base recipe along with other reviews and my experience to come up with my own version. Changes I have made... I use the oven ready lasagna noodles, 1 1/2 lb of lean beef and a few dashes of Italian seasoning as it is browning, 2 jars of sauce (I use Prego's Italian sausage sauce) instead of just 1, use all of the cottage cheese it calls for but I also add in a lil bit of ricotta and mix the 2 together before I add to recipe and last, I add about half of a pack of shredded parmesan on top of the dish. My family LOVES it!

This lasagna is absolutely delicious. It was my first time ever making lasagna and it was perfect. Of course I used Elanameg's Reveiw to help me out. I added almost everything that she added. Except I used italian sausage and ground beef, I did not add mushrooms or the provolonge cheese. With Bobs ideas and Elanameg's ideas...this was pretty much the best lasagna EVER!!!! Even my b/f loved it and if you knew how picky he is you would understand why I'm so excited. Thanks for you're help!!!!!!!!!

My family and dinner guest raved about this lasagna. It quickly disappeared. I prepared half of the lasagna as described and for the other half I swapped the meat for sauteed peppers, summer squash, and mushrooms. I will definitely prepare this again!

If I can cook this and have it turn out ANYONE can!!! I took other reviewer's advice and soaked the noodles in hot tap water(turned out great...i was worried) and used 1/2 ricotta and 1/2 cottage cheese mixed with an egg. I used almost twice as much mozzerela (hubby loves). I didn't read enough reviews to realize you MUST cover for the first 45 minutes or you will have burnt cheese. - still tasty though. I added 3 oz of cut up pepperoni to the sauce and a jalapeno to the meat mixture. YUMMY!!!!

This is a great recipe to start out with if you haven't made lasagna before. I used the basic recipe and then I added a little bit. In addition to a pound of ground beef, I added half a pound of Italian Sausage. I used 4 cloves of garlic and half the amount of salt. I also added about a tablespoon of Italian seasonings to the meat mixture. To the cottage cheese, I added 2 eggs and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. I mixed all of the mozarella in with the cottage cheese mixture and just made one layer out of that. It turned out great. I'm looking forward to the leftovers for lunch today. Thanks Bob! :)
