This turned out to be a very simple, but delicious recipe. I too also used some of the tips other have left here and it turned out fantastic! Instead of boiling my noodles, I let them sit in hot water for about 30 minutes. I doubled the meat as others had suggested as well. I also used 1/2 ricotta cheese, 1/2 cottage cheese mixed with 2 eggs for my cheese filling. This turned out awesome, and I definitely plan on making it again!

Not the best lasagna I've ever had, but a very good basic recipe. Very easy and quick preparation. The only change I made was to use half mozzarella and half provolone cheese. I definitely make this again!

My husband gives this a five-star, but I like my lasagna to have a bit more "stuff" in it. A good base recipe, and easy to make. Maybe next time I will put mushrooms and black olives in half! Thank you for the recipe.

I made some changes. Doubled the meat. Used 1 lb ground beef and one lb ground Chicken to make it a little healthier. Used 1 entire container of Lowfat Ricotta & 1 entire container of Lowfat Cottage cheese (mixed in 2 eggs). I used part skim mozzzerella, and substituted the regular noodles for whole grain or semolina noodles. My husband is SO picky and he still loved this. He said it's better than his mothers (and his brother agreed) and it's in the top 3 things I've ever made for him. Thanks!

This lasagna was super easy and quick to make. I used oven ready noodles, added frozen spinach to the meat while cooking, added fresh chopped mushrooms, and of course some extra cheese. Effortless AND kids and hubby loved it! Can't beat that!

Both my husband and I thought this was fantastic. I used the oven-ready lasagna noodles for convenience and I only made two changes to the recipe: I added a bit of garlic powder to the meat, and I took the advice of several reviewers and added an egg to the cheeses to make it hold together better. I didn't bother to drain the cottage cheese like some reviewers said you have to do and it didn't matter. Mine turned out perfectly! Not too dry, not too runny. This was the easiest lasagna I have ever made. I will make this regularly.

Great!! I did as others suggested and added a beaten egg to the cottage cheese. I also cover it with foil for the first part of baking so as not to burn the cheese on top. Can be made healthier even with ground turkey and whole wheat pasta if you want.

My family and I love this recipe, it's easy to make. Just for fun, I will substitute sausage for the hamburger, or add mushrooms, onions, and black olives.

This had a great flavor and was very easy! The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I thought it needed more sauce. Next time I will double the sauce and maybe add some parmesan cheese. Thanks for the recipe, Bob!

This was very yummy! I'am vegetarian so I used Boca meatless ground burger and it worked just fine and I even added spinach to the meat/sauce mix. I followed some of the suggesstions offered here like soaking the noodles for 30 min instead of cooking them. That was perfect timing because by the time I had everything prepared the noodles were ready! And I added nutmeg to the cheese mix which made it heavenly ;)

Back to making this for about the 4th time. This is probably the easiest recipe for lasagna. Sure there may be a 'better' recipe somewhere but in this busy world this recipe rocks. Quick, very, very good taste and texture. My only suggestion is to throw the cottage cheese in a colander for a few minutes to drain any liquid. Just a note, NO ONE that I have served this too has missed the ricotta.

My boyfriend was never a fan of lasagna and he absolutely loved this one. Now I make it at least twice a month on his request. I did make a few changes though. I doubled the beef and used about a jar and a half of spaghetti sauce. I also added sliced mushrooms to the sauce mixture (sauted first on their own). Lastly I exchanged the cottage cheese for provolone. Turned out fantastic!!! Def a keeper!!!

I enjoyed this recipe. Using the method of soaking the noodles in warm water prior to cooking (suggested by other reviewers) saved me from watching a boiling pot of water. The noodles turned out tender.

I will be making this recipe for the 6th time and it will be for Christmas this year- I love it and so has pretty much anyone that I've made it for. I make a few changes- To the jar of spag sauce (i use prego traditional) I add one can of crushed tomatoes as well as some fresh herbs and garlic- this makes then the perfect amount of sauce. I also use a 1/2# of ground beef and 1/2# of italian sausage instead of a whole pound of beef. Leave the cottage cheese as is- its what makes it so good!

I made this lasagna for my daughter's birthday, and everyone loved it. I was rather suprised at how well it turned out. Excellent recipe. I did tweak it just a bit. I used Ricotta (with egg) in place of cottage cheese. I also soaked the noodles for 20mins, and it was fabulous! They didn't break, and when it cooked, it came out delicious. I added spicy sausage as well as oregano, garlic, bay leaf and other personal favorite spices to the sauce. Fantastic! There were no left evers, so my daughter asked for more the next day.

Awesome recipe! I read the other reviews and soaked the pasta for 20-30 minutes, and it came out perfect. I alse used ricotta cheese instead of cottage, and I mixed the ricotta and the mozzarella together with two eggs before putting it on the lasagna. I also made this recipe low-fat by using 99% fat-free ground turkey, light pasta sauce (which is fat-free), part-skim ricotta and part-skim mozzarella. You would never even know! It came out fabulous! My boyfriend ate four servings!! Will definately make again.
