Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Combine egg and milk. Add egg mixture and butter to dry ingredients; stir just until moistened. Fold in blueberries.
  2. Fill greased or paper-line muffin cups two-thirds full. Combine the topping ingredients; sprinkle over batter. Bake at 400 degrees F for 16-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
