This is really good. I mixed in some store bought blueberry glaze for extra flavor and thickness it was SUPER good.

I have made this sauce twice now. First with fresh blueberries and then with frozen, and both were great. I did not change anything. Both times I made the sauce the night before, and then warmed it in the microwave

I halved the recipe, noting that the program doesn't appear to reduce quantities less than 1/8 tsp (used 2 pinches of cinnamon). Didn't have orange juice, so I used light cranberry juice. The sauce didn't thicken up as much as I thought it would. The recipe is absolutely delicious! The almond extract adds a really nice flavor that I loved.

So easy and delicious I'm disappointed that this is the first time I've tried to make this. I used 1c. blueberries, 1c. blackberries and substituted vanilla extract for the almond because that's what I had on hand.

I adapted this recipe to fit a bread pudding recipe it actually wanted me to put plan blueberries and strawberries on my bread pudding. =( So I doubled this one with 2ea cups blueberries and strawberries. I cooked the strawberries down until they were part of the syrup just a nice flavor. I am allergic to oranges so I used pomegranate, blueberry juice and vanilla instead of almonds. This was so good on my pudding =) I have use the regular recipe on other things both ways is great.

I rated 4 stars since I modified. I scaled in half with the exception of the water. I used the juice I got from one orange which ended up being a little less than 1/2 cup based on other reviewers mentioning the overpowering orange flavor. With these mods it was fantastic served over Oatmeal Pancakes II from this site.

I was looking for a topping for a cheesecake that I made also from this site. I had some frozen berries and found this recipe. It was a perfect addition to the cheesecake. My husband suggested to cut back just a little on the sugar next time.

I love quick and easy recipes and this one is at the top of the list. It came together in 5 minutes as stated on the recipe. It was however, like other reviewers said, much better after it has cooled for about an hour. I used frozen blueberries and the sauce came out great.

This is the second Blueberry Sauce I've tried off this website and it is far superior to the other. I actually used frozen mixed berries, because I had them on hand, left out the almond extract and used a Peach Mango juice instead of OJ. Delicious! Thank you for the new recipe.

Very, very good. I too would recommend substituting at least part of the OJ with another type of juice to take the orangey taste out. Either way is easy and yummy.

This was very good and had the right consistency for my tastes. I made it the night before and served it the next morning with pancakes so the flavors would have time to mix.

This was delicious! I used as much orange juice as I had (1/4 cup), and the rest water - it still worked, and tasted great. I served it warm on angel food cake slices, and the whole family raved.

I loved it, my husband was only so-so about it. As mentioned by others, the flavor does develop more after a day in the fridge. I used 1/3 c. sugar and 1/3 c Splenda, and it was plenty sweet for me. Good alternative to sugary syrups!
