Agree completely with reviews that say to let it cool before serving. If you eat it hot/warm you taste the OJ & almond extract pretty strong. But cooled it was great! Made it exactly as written & served it over french toast.

I agree with those who say to let it sit. Honestly, this gets better every day. I have been eating it with a spoon it is so good. I have made it several times and I pretty much always follow the recipe exactly. Tonight I plan to eat it on crepes filled with 1 package of cream cheese mixed with 1/2 can of condensed milk. I am pretty sure my husband will fall in love with me all over again when he tastes the crepes.

Fantastic! I didn't have any orange juice, so I just substituted some fruit flavored water - It sounds disgusting, but the sauce came out delicious and fruity.

This was good, but I thought the almond extract flavor was too pronounced; next time I'll omit it. Served with Cheese Blintzes recipe from this site.

Very easy and fast. I served it over ice cream. Is a great dessert for entertaining when you're in a pinch and need something fast. I used vanilla extract since I didn't have almond extract and I reduced the OJ like many other reviewers did.

Great recipe. I used blackberries, because that is what I had on hand. Also substituted splenda for the white sugar. I used fresh squeezed orange juice, and my recommendation is that if you do, stick with the original amount. I took the advice of others and decreased the amount to 1/2 cup of OJ, but ended up adding the other 1/2 at the end. At first the mixture seemed to thick, but this is remedied by adding a little more water for desired consistency (also helped that I added the fresh squeezed oj). I love the almond extract, gives an additional dimension.

We liked this, gave low rating because didn't follow recipe exactly. Had peach/mango juice on hand, so used that. Forgot to add sugar, added 2 tsp afterward. Was pretty thick, added another 1/4 c. of water. Also used on waffles with a little syrup and was fabulous!

This was wonderful. My husband ate it on cheesecake and the next day on his ice cream. I didn't have OJ but had strawberry banana juice that I used instead. I also added more blueberries and a little less sugar. Wonderful treat!!

This was great, I used 1/2 oj 1/2 water and cut the sugar down to 1/2 cup. It came together quickly and I served it over Lemon Cream Cheese French Toast.

We had this for dinner tonight with "German Potato Pancakes" from this site. This sauce was so easy to make. I made another batch exactly the same except with strawberries and it was equally fabulous. My family loved this sauce and I will definately use it for other things as well.

This sauce was excellent. Easy to make and turned out wonderfully. I was looking for a recipe at the last minute so that I would have something to top the Valentine's Day waffles that I made for my boyfriend and this turned out perfectly. Top with whipped cream and your set. Also, I used vanilla extract instead of almond and didn't have any cinnamon around so left that out as well and it still turned out great. I'm excited to make it again with all of the correct ingredients :)

I literally just made this, and straight off the stove, it is SO yummy!!! Was expecting the orange juice flavor to be the only thing I could taste, but nope. Very good. Can't wait til later once the blueberry flavor has time to come out even more. Will be awesome on the cheesecake I plan on making :) I actually didn't have any almond extract so didn't bother with trying to substitute it and I'm glad I did. I think it would've overpowered the taste of the blueberries.

this was SO good-- not too sweet and not too tart. i cut back on the OJ and only used 3/4 cup (and added 1/4C more water to make up for it). i loved the depth of the flavor-- the almond extract, cinnamon, and OJ made this sauce much more special and gourmet than any other blueberry sauce i've ever had! delicious with ice cream

this is very good. I made only half of the recipe and found it to be very thick. I needed to add water right after adding the cornstarch and the next morning. I did use vanilla extract instead of vanilla and cut back a bit on the sugar for a personal preference. Will make again soon!

Delicious. I had a bottle of Minute Maid brand blueberry/pomegranate juice and used that instead of orange juice. I used vanilla extract instead of almond. It was delicious. Use it to fill Norwegian pancakes on this site or crepes and you have a fancy breakfast like the restaurants make.
