This treat should be called blueberry sigh. Because that 's what you do when you take you 're first bite. The blueberry sauce is great, and the dumplings are especially good with their smidgen of lemon rind. It cooks up in a skillet and when ready, the sauce and dumplings are topped with heavy cream.

Very Best Blueberry Cobbler!

I've tinkered and tinkered, and this is the very best blueberry cobbler recipe I've found. Cakey/biscuit topping with a slight crunch on top and ooey gooey delicious blueberries hidden on the bottom. It can also work with other fruit fillings. Works best with delicious fresh blueberries and is the perfect summer treat.... An amalgamation of mine and my grandmother's cobbler recipe.... I think it is the best! Serve plain or with whipped cream. Enjoy!

Oodles of blueberries are cooked up with sugar, water and cornstarch, until a thick and wonderful sauce has been created. Then even more blueberries are stirred in, and then this luscious berry concoction is poured into a pre-baked pastry shell and slipped into the fridge to chill. Serve this pie with lots of freshly-whipped cream.
