Ok, so mine didn't turn out anything like the picture...but they still tasted really good. The dough was very similar to a dumpling and soaked up much of the blueberry pie filling. I may have put too much batter on the bottom of the pan too because after baking the top dough didn't completely cover the top. I gave it 4 stars because it was super easy and good, but it needs perfected before I would serve to anyone but my family.

These turned out wonderful for us. My boys enjoyed them alot. I did forget to sprinkle the nutmeg though, and did not use the size of pan required. Used a 9x13 metal pan and we got nice thick bars. A great recipe, will most likely make again.

I didn't hear my timer go off and burned the batch I made... and my husband still raved! We can't wait to make them again when we don't have to scrape off the bottoms.

I think maybe I should have added a little sugar to the blueberry filling because it wasn't very sweet. I will use this recipe again though. I wet my hands and carefully pressed out just enough of the dough to cover the bottom before I added the blueberries. I had plenty of topping left to completely cover the blueberry filling.

This really is an easy recipe and it comes out great. I didn't have any lemon juice and made the bars without the topping and my family still enjoyed them.

These were very good...a nice change of pace for dessert instead of the same kinds of things. This would also make a great dessert to serve with coffee and tea.

The trick to spreading the top layer: Only put a small amount of batter on the bottom of the pan. Spread the blueberries on. Then with 2 spoons, drops spoonfuls of the batter onto the blueberries, distributing evenly. Then with the spoons, kind of stretch the batter out, in an outward motion. It's hard to describe, but I hope that makes sense. The bottom layer does end up being thinner than the top, but then you don't end up with a blue mess on the top. Oh, and don't worry too much about getting the top layer of batter to cover everywhere. The batter rises and will fill in most of the small gaps. Anyways, I followed the recipe exactly except I forgot to add the nutmeg. Tasty and easy.

This tasted good but didn't turn out anything like I imagined. I must have used too much batter on the bottom because I didn't have enough left to cover the top, and I even used a smaller pan than recommended (9 x 13). Next time, I will not use the entire can of pie filling. Also, I wasn't a fan of the glaze.....the lemon juice didn't taste quite right with the confectioner sugar. Still tasty though.
