I am not much of a cook, but this was easy and coworkers enjoyed it. I did the 1/2 oats and 1/2 flour. I also added some huckleberries that I picked with the blueberries.

This is SUPER!!! I will use unsalted butter for drizzling next time. It actually tastes great when it comes right out of the fridge, too!

Wow, this was fantastic! I made this over the long weekend to take to the cottage and all of us loved it! Like others, I also used 1/4 cup brown sugar instead of the 2 tbsps and also swapped out 1/2 cup flour and replaced with 1/2 cup oats. I only drizzled approximately 1/4 cup melted butter over the top and this dessert was SO YUMMY! I'm sure you could easily change up the fruit combos, but the apple and blueberry was awesome! I will repeat this one hands down, thanks!

This crisp/cobbler (whatever you want to call it) was excellent! I went ahead and added 1/4 cup of brown sugar instead of the 2 T and I didn't think it tasted too sweet. Also, I had some 'crumble' (cinn/sugar/butter mixture) mix left over from some muffins I made, so I thought I'd add a little bit to the top. I wouldn't think that is necessary, but it sure was tasty. ;).

Delicious! As suggested by Chef4Six, I added 1/2 the amount of flour and 1/2 the amount of quick oatmeal. I also omitted the nutmeg and halved the amount of butter. I will make this again, Thanks!

Delicious! I doubled the recipe and made some modifications. I used 1/2 the amount of flour and 1/2 the amount of rolled oats. I used brown sugar in the crisp, egg substitute in place of the egg and totally omitted the nutmeg and melted butter. I followed the directions of "Microwave Apple Crisp" from this website and made this in a casserole dish in my microwave - cooking it for about 20 minutes. The crisp - did crisp up! and I didn't have to worry about the oven throwing so much heat on the hot day I made it! I love how the blueberries burst open and caused the crisp to be a beautiful purple hue!

It was good--I added oats to the topping mix. Also lemon juice on the apples and cranberries added the fruit combo. I like my crisp tart cause we serve it with icecream.

Sure, as others have commented, this isn't an authentic "crisp." But who cares? The topping is crisp, crunchy as a matter of fact, and deliciously sweet. Given some reviews indicating the filling was "runny," I used 3 T. of flour rather than the 2 T. called for - and wish I hadn't done that. I would have preferred it a little "gooier." Also, two tablespoons of brown sugar for the apple/blueberry mixture didn't seem enough to me, so I upped it to 3 T. and hubs and I both agreed it could have used even more. I think 1/4 cup of brown sugar would be perfect. It's interesting that the apples take on the color of the blueberries. It looked a little odd, but it sure tasted good!

This crisp had a great flavor. It did end up having just a tad more liquid in it than I like, but I was aware that that may happen because of a few other reviews. Overall, we enjoyed it!

I never thought to put apples and blueberries together before, but it turned out great. I was really tired when putting it together ended up using 4 med apples, and four cups of blueberries. I lightly floured the blueberries before putting them on the apples. Then I put around 1/4 cup brown sugar in with the flour to sprinkle on top. Big hit. Thanks for the great recipe!

I didn't like this that well. I took it to Thanksgiving, and I'm about the only one who ate it. It definitely needs some more spices, and I guess I shouldn't have covered it, because it was super soggy as well. An oatmeal topping would have been much, much better.

This recipe was fantastic, although I used 1/2 cup of brown sugar rather than a 1/4 cup, which isn't enough. I would have to say that this is definitely more of a cobbler than a crisp. I would most certainly make this again.

This fruit combination is very good, although I agree with a previous poster this isn't what I'd label a fruit crisp. I didn't get the topping to crumble; however, it did work up to a dumpling consistency and that worked just fine. Overall, a very tasty dessert.

No, no, NO!!!! This is not a crisp, and really, I found it to be inedible. Sorry...but the topping is more cake-like than it is a crisp. I liked the blueberries and apples together but if I were to attempt anything like this one again, I would use the topping for Apple Crisp II. Sorry for the negativity, but this one missed the mark in my opinion. Thanks anyway.

I generally do not try unreviewed recipes or recipes under 4 stars, but this one looked so good and easy, I had to try it and am I glad I did! It is soooo good! I have made this twice, each time with a different fruit with the blueberries and it turned out sooo yummy. Very versatile recipe. The topping is what makes this dessert over the top. It is so extra crisy and tasty, that the second time I made it, I made extra. The first time I made it I paired the blueberries with pineapple because that was what I had on hand. The second time I used strawberries with the bleberries because that was what I had on hand too. You might want to add a little more flour/sugar combo to the fruit if the fruit has alot of water, but I served it over french vanilla ice cream and it was great a bit runny. I will try this next with apples to do justice to the recipe but I think it works with any combo with blueberries. I also used all frozen fruit. I plan on making this for Thanksgiving because it is that good. Thanks for the keeper!
