Great recipe but used garlic and onion powders instead of the garlic and onion salts. I used just a 1/2 tsp of Himalayan Pink Salt. I like chunky blue cheese so instead of blending I mixed in a bowl and let sit overnight. The family raves about it. This recipe makes a LOT of dressing.

It's just me likes blue cheese dressing so I halved the recipe, didn't blend it and added a dash of worstershire, couple tablespoons milk and skipped salt altogether; used garlic and onion powder instead. Taste your cheese before you make this. It can be salty enough not to have to add any salt. Fabulous! Keeper, dare say.

I did not find it too salty. I may have forgotten the regular salt or used Sea Salt. It is delicious. Much better than bottled or restraunant Blue Cheese Dressing.

I had never made blue cheese dressing before now, and I had to modify it a bit since I read the other reviews about it being too salty. Instead of using onion salt, I took about two table spoons of raw red onion and put it through a garlic press, then I omitted garlic altogether and used about two table spoons of lemon juice instead of the vinegar - and YUMMY! I followed this recipe on everything else. You'll love this modification!

I too thought this looked a bit salty, so I used regular garlic and onion powders and cut the salt in half. Very good.
