Not impressed, not turned off. It's ok. But if I'm going to go through the trouble of baking something from scratch - it is better off a true brownie.

I've never had a blondie, these were great, especially with vanilla ice cream on top while they were still warm! :) I followed the recipe exactly. Tasted like a thick, rich chocolate chip cookie!

This was my first time making blonde brownies and we had to alter it a bit due to not having choc chips in the house. I added about 1/2 c. peanut butter chips & 1/2 c. butterscotch chips and then I sprinkled the top with what I had left of some toffee bits (about 1/2 c.). I baked them in a 9 x 9 pan for about 25 mins and they were AMAZING!!! The peanut butter & butterscotch chips tasted great blended together & the toffee chips gave them a nice chewy topping. I will definately make these again!

Doubled recipe and baked in a 9x13 pan. Kinda like a pan cookie but no matter what the name, they're yummy!

These turned out really well. I did double the recipe and put it in a 9 x 13 pan and increased the cooking time by about 5-10 minutes. I also added some extra chocolate chips and mixed them all into the batter. Pretty easy and will definitely make again. I've also made these with white chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet chocolate and they're great too!

oh.my.goodness.I don't usually have the time to rate a recipe, but I have to say, that this recipe is perfection. I have made it both with and without the nuts. Without is by far my favorite. Oooey, Gooey, Yummy, goodness. I used chocolate chip chunks, about 3/4 cup, and mixed them into the dough. 8x8 square pan fits perfectly for this recipe. 25 minutes, and it is exactly perfect. Thank you so much!

This tasted just like a chocolate chip cookie. No complaints I love cookies! I made this just like it said but I left out the nuts because we had company coming over and wasn't sure if they liked nuts. However I did have one problem...When I took it out of the oven the middle fell. Im not sure why, it tasted great esp. with vanilla ice cream.

Growing up, my grandmother used to bake us blonde brownies every time she visited. As a result, only a "blondie" is, to me, a true brownie. I thought this recipe tasted ok, but it certainly lacked the rich flavor of a truly decadent blonde in my opinion. I may try it again, but I'm not sure where to start on the recipe. It needs work. Certainly not "bad", though.

I loved the texture of these... nice and ooey gooey, but I do think they were a bit on the rich side! (Although didn't keep me from eating way too many)! Like them, just if you're not into very sweet and rich blondies, this isn't the right recipe for you.

These tasted great, however mine didn't rise at all. I followed all the directions as written, and baking for 22 minutes the edges were almost crispy and the center had the consistency of soft chocolate chip cookies. Not surprising, as another member mentioned, the same recipe is used on this site for cookies. I'll try another recipe next time and see if I have better luck with the brownies not staying mushy.

I made these last night and the only change I made was to double the recipe and bake in a 13x9 pan for 10 minutes longer. They were excellent! Moist, chewey, flavorful - a definite "keeper"!

these were very tasty but had a bit of a cakey/cookie texture rather than a dense chewy brownie. i mixed in the choco chips and that helped... i think i'll try again and mix in that same amount of butterscotch chips in addition to the choco. i realize that will make them very rich, but isn't that what a brownie is supposed to be?! it will also add some more chewy texture.
