So chewy and delicious. I used toffee chocolate pieces in place of the walnuts and choco chips. Thanks heaps for the recipe!

I've made this recipe twice. The first time, I doubled the recipe... but forgot to double the flour >.< I didn't know what I had done wrong until I made them a second time before moving on to try a different version, and it was immediately apparent. The second batch was perfection! Changes I made: Milk chocolate chips rather mixed directly in than semi sweet poured on top. Half of the amount of vanilla called for. Zero walnuts. Both times, I doubled the recipe and cooked it in a 9X13 pan. As long as you don't forget to put the flour in, you will love these :)

I didn't have any walnuts so I used trail mix -the raisins. Yes, I picked them all out. Good stuff.

I made this recipe the first time 3 weeks ago and since have made it at least 9 times, they're now my husbands and my favorite! I used margarine instead on butter with no problems and I didn't add all the chocolate chips, i used a little more than 1/2 cup. These come out with a crunchy top but chewy insides. This is now my brownie recipe of choice.

Fantastic. I've been looking for a blondie recipe after i lost mine. Definitely a keeper. I did use an extra lrg egg (all i had) and 1/3 less fat margerine, with no problems.

definitely double the recipe for a party -- they go fast. using wheat flour mixed with regular unbleached flour seemed to thicken up the batter to a better consistency

I would give this a 5 star, because we did eat the whole thing in one night ... but ... I do think it needs a little more flour. ALso, you may want to DOUBLE the recip, because there aren't many to go around! I'll be making them again tonight.

I just made these according to the recipe, and think that they are too sweet and rather greasy. Perhaps too much butter and not enough flour. Don't think I'll make them again. :(

GREAT! This recipe is wonderful as is. If you mix in the choc chips, they become harder to cut (if you can't wait until they cool). I sprinkle them on top.

Very good with a couple of changes of my own. Used 1/2 cup macadamia nuts and 4 oz chopped white chocolate, both mixed into the batter (omitted the chocolate chips). I think I overcooked mine a little b/c the outer edges are hard, but that's my fault, not the recipe's. Will definitely make again.

This brownie recipe is one of the best I've ever tried. I mixed in chopped macadamia nuts and white chocolate chips and the result was to die for!

This recipe seems very promising. I used Green & Black chocolate bars, a mix of 1 dark and 2 35%. I used pecans instead of walnuts, upped the salt a tad. It smells like heaven!!! It's for a charity bakesale this afternoon. I will try to resist. :-) Back with details on the taste.

Fantastic! I left out the walnuts as I did not have them on hand. These did not last the night in my house!

These blonde brownies are moist and chewy. I have made them 4 times and they have come out good every single time. No adjustments were made to the recipe, it's great the way it is.

These are GREAT and very pretty with smarties (M&M's) too! My family loved them. I made a double batch in a 9x13 pan, replacing the chocolate chips with smarties (mixing half of them into the batter and sprinkling the other half on top, pressing in lightly). I also used margarine instead of butter, omitted the nuts and used half the vanilla. Tip: If using a dark non-stick pan, decrease the oven temp to 325. Yummy!!
