I made these "as is" (just added a thin piping of Burnt Butter Frosting as another reviewer suggested) and they were the hit of the party! So dense and chewy. Mmmm!

Really chewy and tasty as a blondie should be! Only change I will make next time is to throw a few chips into the batter as well as putting a few on top.

So these came out of the oven about twenty minutes ago and already the pan is missing one or two rows since the last time I was in the kitchen. I took the advice of many reviewers and doubled the recipe and baked it in a 9x13. (Probably a good thing or they'd already be gone :) )This recipe is delicious...Thanks for sharing!

Finally! I have been trying all the recipes found on the web for these and this is IT! I mix choc chips and butterscotch chips for a richer taste.

These are awesome!! Tasted just like a chocolate chip cookie except in a brownie form. Made these on the 4th at a party and within minutes were gone!! Definately a keeper!!!

I doubled the recipe, baked in a 9x13 pan, added choc chips to 1/2 and walnuts to the other 1/2. A tad too sweet for me, but my guys snarfed it up!

I loved the flavor--I used butterscotch chips, but like others have said, dont put it in the fridge, it WILL be hard.

These are amazing - chewy and dense - a hybrid between a chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. Super rich. I added 1/2 the chips in the batter and half on top.

Yum! These remind me of butterscotch brownies I used to make as a kid - chewy, buttery and delicious! I added a touch more vanilla and only about 1/2 c chocolate chips based on personal taste. Also, instead of mixing the wet and dry ingredients separately I melted the butter in a medium mixing bowl, added the brown sugar, vanilla and egg and then just dumped in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt - voila, a one-bowl brownie recipe! I like not having to do as many dishes so I can spend more time enjoying these yummy blondies. :)

I guess I'm in the minority... But these blondies were just wayyyyyyyy too sweet for me and my family. The whole pan is just sitting on the kitchen table. That never happens in my house. I may try again with less brown sugar... But man, these made my teeth hurt!

HELPFUL TIP NOT MENTIONED: Okay, I've been on a brownie rampage for the past month and have made 10 recipes and this is the only one that consistency comes out the same! What's best is... there aren't 100 reviews changing how to do it because it's good as is! What's not mentioned is, my signature cookie with the military soldiers here is IDENTICAL to this brownie (but in a BIG FAT CHEWY COOKIE). You can find it under "Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie" ...the title is exactly what it is. Just check out my fool proof review first. I love this in brownie AND cookie form!

Great recipe! Everyone loves them! I did quite calling them blond brownies, though. By adding the chocolate chips, everyone thinks they are bar cookies. Either way - blond brownies or chocolate chip bar cookies - they are amazing!
