This recipe is a fire hazard!! Unless you're cooking outdoors, don't follow these directions. I smoked up my whole house making this. :-P If I hadn't heated the oil for as long as it said it might have turned out okay.

This is a great recipe. It's easy and quick to prepare, and has a wonderful flavor. I agree that the oven element is not at all necessary; I used a cast iron skillet for about five minutes on each side and the chicken was practically falling apart when I was done. Also, I made a portion of the chicken completely kid-friendly by removing the paprika and cayenne and replacing it with a bit of chili powder. Some garlic powder in the mix is a good thing as well. This is a recipe that we'll be going back to often.

This was really good. My husband didn't think it looked like enough so made about 3x as much coating & it was really spicy but we had it with coleslaw on top anyway so that helped. Next time will make it as written.

I love this chicken! It has so many great spices and flavors. I use this chicken with the cajun pasta dish that is also on this site.

We love this recipe! The spice mixture has real heat and is good on chicken and shrimp. My husband and I put either on salads with a cool lemon / honey dressing. It makes a delicious meal. Our modifications include using chicken cutlets instead of full breasts and sauteeing them in olive oil until cooked through. We love flavor, so we often make extra spice to turn up the heat. Enjoy!

Very good but just a little hot. The cooking time in the oven should be more like 15 to 20 minutes as others have suggested. I would make this again.

REALLY good! Served with a homemade Alfredo sauce & pasta. I don't have a cast iron skillet, so just put in my regular pan before it went into the oven. Was in there for more like 30 minutes in order to get cooked. Very good & will be making again for sure!

My husband LOVES this spice mixture. He'll actually eat more chicken if I use it. I did add just a pinch of ground ginger.

I followed the suggestions of the reviewer who said she didn't use the oven. I didn't bother getting them out of the fridge ahead of time, just cooked 7 minutes on each side and let sit 10 minutes before eating. We dipped it in ranch dressing and ate with buttered corn. Great!

My family truly enjoyed this recipe. My super picky daughter loved it and requested it for her birthday. I cut up the chicken into bite size pieces and cooked on the stove top over medium high heat. We'll be making it again soon I am sure!

Been using this recipe for the past 5 years and it never fails. It's quick and easy for a weeknight meal. I've served this along with fetuccini and it's balances out the creaminess.
