The recipe is better with slightly more sugar in it, and with a bunch sprinkled on top. I think it has a bit too much butter, though. I may try it with less next time.

Simple, quick, and wholesome fun! Our group of teens had fun picking the berries and enjoyed the "fruit of their labor" with this delicious cobbler!

This was way easier than picking the berries. My six year old did it almost by himself. It's delicious! I didn't bake it an hour though, only about 50 minutes but that could just be my oven.

Excellent recipe - I bake this about once a month and everyone loves. It's great either hot or cold. It's so good that nobody even wants the whipped cream! Thank you Valerie!

I think this recipe was very good, but it is not your traditional cobbler with oatmeal and brown sugar. I would definitely use it as a quick recipe to get rid of extra blackberries and would even take it to social events.

I have used this recipe numerous times and have substituted other fruits. Fresh or frozen. My family and even the neighbors love it! I used 2 cups of regular flour with 1 Tablespoon Baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt. This is an easy recipe for the kids to help with too.

We used twice the berries, and it was wonderful! Easy, quick, and not too sweet!

A good cake-like recipe. It has a corn bread type consistency.

This was as quick and easy as everyone said. I substituted 2 cups plain flour, 3 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. salt for the self-rising flour. Even my husband, who isn't much on blackberries, liked it.
