This cobbler is really good, I've made it twice in 2 weeks! I made the recipe as called for, except with slightly less sugar in the berries, and the second time I made more crust. I also used strawberries both times. Truly delicious!

This recipe was okay, but didn´t turn out as I would have expected. The topping was delicious but not crumbly, and as others mentioned there is not enough topping for the whole dish. The berry part was good, but REALLY sweet. I won´t make this again... :(

I tried this because I wanted to use my cast iron pan for something different. This is exactly what a cobbler should be!! We had guest over and they loved it. I tried it again with fresh cherries (pitted of course) and it was great! I will be making this many more times.

I thought this recipe was great. I however doubled the crust and added some cinnamon to the crust. Plus I added an extra dash of lemon juice to the berries.

This got rave reviews at a family BBQ. The only thing I changed was that I made 1.5 times the topping and it was perfect!

This recipe is the best ever. I did make a couple of changes the 2nd time around and everyone raved. I was out of lemon juice, so I used orange juice and added about a tsp. of vanilla. Gives it a wonderful taste. Also added a little cinnamon to both dough and to blackberry mix. This is already a family favorite.

I doubled the topping ingredients as other reviews suggested, and boy am I glad I did. Any less and it would not have covered the whole thing. It was tasty, but I gave it 4 stars because for me it was too sugary. As a Texas girl, I adore blackberry cobbler, and I will try this again but with 25% less sugar all around. It did make a nice gooey filling and the dough part was not too heavy or crumbly...YAY!

My family absolutely loved this, I like others here added a little cinnamon to the dough and berry mixture. Great with vanilla icecream. Definitely is a keeper, thanks so much for sharing.

It was very good. I put it about a 1/4 cup less of sugar than it called for. I think I like more of the dough than this recipe calls for - maybe I'd do one and a half times the dough next time. But if you are making this and taking it somewhere MAKE SURE THAT IT IS SET before you go. I made this last night and took it to a friends - it went all over the car!

I made 1 1/2 times the dough and added about 1/2 t cinnamon as others suggested. Also, used only 3/4 C sugar in the berries. Instead of spooning the dough on the berries I crumbled it, made it very appealing once baked. Great with vanilla ice cream!

I made this for my family tonight and none of us could finish our portions. My two year old hated it, and my husband said it was too sweet for his liking. This recipe did NOT meet my Southern girl expectations.

I too think this is an incredible recipe! I made one and a half times the crust as well, and this was about perfect, though I think I could have made double the crust and it would be great. I also didn't cook it in my iron skillet because there wouldn't be room in my fridge for the leftovers if I were trying to store them in the skillet. One note though for those of you using Dewberries instead of true blackberries, dewberries are not as sweet and I would reccommend using the full amount of sugar called for in the recipe.

Yummy! I had a big bag of frozen raspberries from last year in my freezer, so I used those instead of blackberries. I don't have a cast iron skillet, so I actually brought the mixture to a boil on the stove top in a 9x9 metal baking dish and then put the dish on a cookie sheet and into the oven. Worked worderfully. This is my new recipe for all my fruit cobblers. Thanks!
